So it was true. Arch had become the new alpha. Reed retired to his den as Autumn began speaking to her son. His eyes immediately began to droop as his head hit the grass-lined nest.

It must have been minutes of sleep for Reed, but as he opened his exhasusted eyes to the entrance of his den, he saw the pale streaks of dawn lighting the sky.

What had woken him? Reed stretched and gaped his jaws in a huge yawn. Then he recognized what he had awoken to. Arch's howl rang out in the camp. The alpha's voice sounded hoarse and tired, as if he hadn't slept all night.

Reed took his place beside the rock, where Arch stood upon. The wolves, with sleepy expressions, turned their faces to him. "What is it, Arch?" Arch blinked slowly, as if drowsy, and faced his pack. "I have had a vision," he said slowly. "The Tribe of Souls have visited me in a dream." The murmuring of the wolves hushed immediately.

"We must..." Arch took a breath here- "Meet with the Grizzlies of Sharp Rock Peak."

Shocked yelps came from the wolves around him.
