"Aah! Go on, go on," Tiger shrieked again. "Yes, please go on!" The rest of the pups chorused consecutively. Russet chuckled again. "No, no, pups," she said. "That's enough for now." "Please, Russet?" Arokai, a silver pup pounced on Russet's tail. "Besides, your parents await," Russet continued. Reed turned his head toward the den entrance. He heard familiar pawsteps, the light pacing of his mother. "Reed," came her soft and melodious voice. Reed stood up and began to walk toward his mother. Russet waved her tail in goodbye. As he walked beside his mother, he began to think about the story he had heard, and again wondered. Was Blue really a myth? Everyone seemed to act like it was. But in his marrow, Reed felt that there was at least some truth in it. There just had to be. Blue had to exist, and he was going to find out for himself.
