Flashback: after the incident in Jade's class.

Hayley's pov:
Just now, a friend of mine told me of what happened in class. She noticed that Jade got bullied by her bully but Alex didn't even help her at first. He started helping her when class ended. And she told me that he keeps staring at her, making her feel uncomfortable.

Idiot. I thought. I told him to keep an eye on her, and what did he do? Damn it. She must've felt alone and scared out of her wits. I know Jade so well. She would panic if she's bullied, moreover her friends aren't there to defend her. To be honest, we never met her childhood bully before. Well, I of course have but he doesn't know me.

Suddenly, Alex called me. I answered and asked him to meet me at my house. I ended the call and headed to the cafeteria to eat.

End of flashback

At first, I was only cross of him because he didn't protect her properly. But now I was madly angry at him. He followed Jade to talk with her ex and he listened to their conversation as well! He is such an ass. You can't just sit there and listen to someone elses private talk. And I clearly asked him to just watch over her, not eaves drop.

The real motive for him to watch over her is to avoid her from being abused and disturbed by her bully and her ex. He could've just stood far enough to not listen to their talk. And besides, I don't want her to find out that I purposely told Alex to do it because of her feelings. I know she loves Alex. She just doesn't admit it. And I also know that she still loves her ex. So that's why I let her talk with him.

When I arrived home, I waited for them to come back. When they arrived, I greeted them with a shriek.

"What did I told you about protecting her? She was bullied. I ASKED YOU TO LOOK AFTER HER. NOT JUST LEAVE HER BE LIKE THAT. You don't understand her condition if she's in that situation. She has a trauma of being bullied. Luckily he was going easy on her. If he dragged her into a corner and beat the crap out of her, what do you think will be left of her!? I told you to do so for a reason. Not just to play around with you and ask you to do my chores. What kind of 'protect her from any harm' do you not understand!? And one other thing. NEVER EVER TRY TO LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE'S TROUBLES WHEN THEY DON'T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW. It's her privacy, dude. Well it's a relief that she didn't mind... because I saw you two hugging just across the street" I finished. With a wicked smile on my face.

"What the... you were cross with me and then you're happy for me?" He said. "I'm not happy for you! I was just smiling because I saw 'someone'  starting a hug. Since I've never seen him start one before" I said, smirking.

He slightly blushed and covered his face. "Whatever" he muttered. "Anyway, welcome home Jade. Did George hurt your feelings or anything? Would you like me to find someone for you?" I said. "What!?" Alex suddenly said. We all looked confused why he suddenly said that.

"Uh- sorry. " he said. In my mind, I grinned wickedly, knowing why he said that. "He told me why he broke up with me. It was painful, but I think I can take it." She said. Then sudenly a pool of tears were made in her eyes, and suddenly it came dripping out.

I wiped them away with my fingers and asked her to go in my room and tell me there. She headed to my room, sniffing and closed the door behind her. "So, our deal is off now. Thanks for helping me do that kind favour. You can go now" I said simply at Alex.

"She's gonna be okay, right? I mean, she cried a lot during our way back here." He said. I just nodded and pushed him out.

I shut the door and headed to my room. I opened to be greeted by Jade's arms, flinging around my neck. Choking me along the way, "It hurts, Hayley. It hurts so much. My chest hurts so much whenever I think about him." she started. I patted her back and we sat down on my bed.

She started to tell me all about their talk and she fell asleep on my bed. I woke her up not long after that to take a shower, so she did. She got out, wearing her silky night gown and flopped on my bed. "Mind if I sleep with you tonight. I just want someone to hug with" she said, muffling along with her words. Since she was talking, with her face pressed against my pillow.

I giggled and teased her, "why don't you go and sleep with Alex who's in your room right now" I said, calmly. She flinched and stood up. "What!?" She shouted. "I'm kidding" I giggled. And with that, we started a tickle fight. After a long tickle fight, we were exhausted and tucked ourselves in bed and slept.

Alex's pov:
Damn it. Why the hell did I just say that!?? Obviously, I sounded jealous and disturbed by Hayley's  question. God! Hayley's definitely gonna tease and mock me all day! But It's kinda true. Because of this task, I got to know parts of her that no other guy knew. and it strangely attracted myself to know her better. But I still don't know why I felt like that.

Tomorrow morning:

Jade's pov:
To say that I'm not jealous of them will be a lie because I am jealous of them. Hayley and Alex have been together since little so they must've become close. Not to mention their houses are close by, but Hayley is of course living with us.

But she still comes by her house and visit. And of course Alex will be there. I just disagree with them,together and all. It makes my heart ache. But what can I do, they're childhood friends. That's to be expected by childhood friends like them.

"Are you okay, Jade? You seem distracted. In your train of thoughts?" Daphne asked, teasing. I flinched and smiled, "It's nothin'. I was just thinking about someone. You don't have to worry about me" I reassured her. "Oh, okay then. Anyway, Henry asked me on a date! He didn't say yet where to go. But I bet it's somewhere great!" She exclaimed. I was proud of my friend who finally found her true love.

Suddenly, the door burst open. Hadley was cooking breakfast and everyone turned to the door to see an out-of-breath Henry. "Henry. what're you doing her" Daphne asked. "So-sorry. It's just that, I got a perfect place for us to go on a date" he said excitedly. "Where!?" Hayley suddenly burst out asking. Everyone turned to her and pasted an annoying face(😒)

"Sorry. hehe" she said, giggling. "Where are you taking me?" Asked Daphne excitedly. "The zoo" Daphne squealed in excitement. "Seriously, the zoo? Whatever. Suit yourselves" Hayley said "Oh my god, I really love the zoo. There's zebras, lions, giraffes, tigers. (Gasp) and there're also elephants! I really love elephants. Especially baby elephants. They're just so adorable!" Daphne expressed her feelings towards Henry.

Everyone laughed at her reaction. Except for Henry.
"On second thought, Why don't we go to another place..." he suddenly said. "What? Why?" She said, sadly. "They're better than me" he murmured. "Huh?" Asked Daphne, confused. "They're better than me. The animals. You love them more than me. They'll only ruin our date. Especially the elephants. Remind me to never show an elephant infront of you" he said, angrily and annoyed.

Everyone burst out laughing. "Of course I love you more. Some animals won't ruin our date. Besides. It's our first date after all. Nothing can beat the cuteness and the hotness of my boyfriend here" she said, cheekily pinching both sides of his cheeks. He smiled and they shared a heart warming kiss. We giggled and continued our breakfast that Hadley made.

They really suit each other
I thought. If Alex and I were like that, it would be a dream come true. But it's hard to attract his attention. I don't know how.
