How I Met You...My Love

3.7: FRIENDS!

April's pov:
"And now he wants me to forget what just happened! I can't just...forget. I mean, it has something to do with me. Well if he wants to fight then I'll fight. I'll show him!" I exclaimed in the cafeteria. My friends are all on ears to my story.

"Maybe you've misunderstood something" said Selena. "Yeah. Maybe he said that because it's for your own good" suggested Jade. "Or maybe he still isn't ready to tell you" added Daphne. "They're right, April. Sometimes, you just gotta think positive" says Hayley.

"I don't know what to think right now" I sighed. "There there. Don't feel bad" hushed Alice. I groaned loudly and placed my forehead on the table. "I still love him!" I whined. They just giggled at my reaction.

Zack's pov:
I regretted every mean thing I said to April. I mean, she asked me so politely and I answered her rudely. My mind was just frustrated at Ash's attitude just now.

From the time his girlfriend left him, I knew he had a grudge against me. Thinking that I was the one causing them to break up. She was the one who lost interest in him.

Ever since that day, he started hanging around me and I know he's just trying to find my weak spot to sabotage me. Well I'm not gonna show him any of my weak spots.

Unfortunately he found one of them just now; April. I guess, without realizing, I suddenly gained interest towards her. And with that in his mind, I was guessing he's gonna use her to lure me out and well...he did.

I also knew that he was the one who lured a girl out and confessed to me, making her hug me tightly. And I knew he was doing all of this just to make me weak. As I pulled away from the girl, I turned around and saw Ash with April, his hands around her waist.

I knew he was trying to make me pissed so I went to them and rescued April from him. She was lighter than a feather.

As I was dozing off during history, I heard a sweet familiar voice coming from the door. I jerked up from my seat and tilted a little to see who it was; April.

"Um, excuse me Mrs Julie. May I speak with Faith for a while?" She asked, politely with a smile on her face. "Sure sweety" answered Mrs Julie and her friend walked out of class to meet her.

She was smiling widely at her friend and laughed a little. How I wanted to apologize to her for what happened this morning. It was my fault. I was just in a bad mood. Not to mention when she looks exactly like Liyanna, my ex.

So I haven't seen her before. I just thought I've seen her.

I sighed and slumped back in my chair as she thanked Mrs Julie and left. Then after a short quarrel with my mind, I've decided! After school I'll apologize to her. My heart just won't keep still as long as I apologize to her.

April's pov:
After school, me and Selena walked together to our lockers and meet up with our other friends. "So did anything happen between you and Zack?" Asked Jade curiously.

"I don't know. I'm mad at him....but I still love him" I mumbled the last part. They giggled as they heard it. But then Everyone stood straight and zipped their mouths.

I scrunched my eyebrows together and traced their gaze behind me. I spun around and was met eye to eye with Zack, right in front of me. "H-hey" he greeted. I gasped and looked at him in shock.

"You didn't perhaps....heard anything we had said just now did you?" I asked nervously. "Like what?" He asked confused. "Umm. nothing. so what brings you here?" I asked, quickly changing the topic.

"Oh! Right. I -uh.... I want to uh.." he stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck. I tilted my head and gazed into his eyes, searching for his answer.

"I want to apologize to you" he said. I swear that my heart just stopped when he said that.

Zack? Apologizing to me? But why so suddenly!?

"I guess I was too harsh on you this morning. I was... quite cranky that time. So I'm sorry if I ever made you think bad of me" he said, looking into my eyes as he spoke. I just stood there, watching him explain.

Then Hayley snapped me out of my trance, "I knew it! See! What'd I tell ya" she said, slapping my back. "Wha–Oh! Uh, right. Um..." I said, straightening up. "Well, I forgive you Zack" I smiled. His face beamed in happiness and suddenly grasped my hands.

"Great! Well, if all is well... Can we be friends?" He asked. My eyes grew wide at the thought of him and me friends. FRIENDS!? That's a huge step! To top it off, he himself wanted to be my friend.

Of course I said yes!

"Of course! I mean, yeah sure. Okay, friends" I said, happily. "Awesome. Well, see you tomorrow, April" he said and bid goodbye.

As he went, I waved at him dreamily and smiled to myself. "Oh come on April! Get a grip of yourself" said Faith, shaking me alive. "I'm Zacks friend...I'm his friend" I giggled.

"So much for payback time" scoffed Jade behind me. I glared at her and we walked together back home.

Zack's pov:
As I was out of her sight, I sighed in relief and controlled my breathing.

My breathing was unstable, I was sweating, my heart beat was unbelievably fast and my eyes was stuck to her beauty that draws me in. I didn't realized that she had that effect on me.

She has these sparkling brown eyes and slightly tanned skin. Her hair seems smooth, I could just run my fingers in them. Her smile was extremely gorgeous. But one thing's for sure...I saw the wrong person in her.

April and Liyanna are two different persons. She may look like Liyanna but her personality are way more interesting than Liyanna. She has this cute side of her when she's angry. Her face would turn red and you could literally see smoke coming out from her ears.

Liyanna on the other hand is a calm girl. She would always quiver away from guys and try her best not to involve herself with any rude guys. She's a shy rabbit while April's a brave she-wolf who stands her ground when facing trouble.

She's.... Adorable in her own way.
