chapter 3:
Luke's P.O.V:
After taking a bath I wanted to hang out with Alice more. So I went upstairs to her room. I don't know why, but she's like a drug to me. I'm addicted to her. I just can't get enough of her. I've known her since middle school and I can easily confess that I've liked her since. From the first time we've met, I knew that she was the one for me. Although it wasn't really love at first sight, but we got to know each other more and before I knew it, I had already fallen in love with her.
I knocked on her door and went inside. I saw her going out of the bathroom, sniffing and blowing her nose. I was anxious as I saw her face. Her eyes were watery and her nose were red.
"Alice? What's wrong? Have you caught a cold?" I asked, apprehensively. "Yeah. I think I do. I started sneezing after I took a bath" she answered in a weak voice, sniffing now and then. "Damn, my nose hurts" she mumbled, pinching her nose.
Suddenly my heart sank. My baby girl is sick? This is all my fault. I shouldn't have asked her to go for a swim. Not to mention it was two long hours non-stop. I'm such an idiot!
"It's okay Luke. You don't have to worry so much. I'll just get some sleep and the cold will disappear by itse–" she said. I didn't give her the chance to finish her sentence before carrying her bridal style from behind. She stayed quiet as I slowly tucked her in bed.
I told her not to go out of the bed and quickly head to the kitchen to get some medicine and an ice pack, realizing she had a fever when I touched her skin. I quickly dashed upstairs but in the middle of the staircase, I ran into my mom.
"Luke? What's wrong? Are you sick?" she asked. I didn't want Alice to wait so long. "No, it's Alice" I answered simply and ran upstairs. I heard her questioning me, "Alice?"
I went in to her room, and saw her watching TV. She saw me and smiled sheepishly. "mind if I use it?" she asked me, referring to the TV. I smiled back and headed towards her. "it's all yours, cupcake" I chuckled. I placed the medicine and ice pack beside me. First, I asked her to eat the medicine. Then I placed the ice pack on her forehead, wrapping it with a cloth so it doesn't feel too cold for her.
I stroked her hair softly and gazed down at her. I could tell that she really likes watching Korean drama since she was watching one now. "Seriously, drama when you're sick?" I asked, smirking. "It's not just any drama, Luke. It's my 'stress reliever' " She smiled. I smiled back and gently kissed her hair. Her shoulders lifted up a little as I kissed her. She put on a smile anyway. I was about to leave so she could rest peacefully, but I felt a small tug on the back of my shirt. I turned to see her face me "s-stay with me...please?"
I tipped my head to see her hidden face and I saw a slight blush.
Damn, her expression right now really melts my heart.
