AN//I should really be doing homework rn but I'm procrastinating so shh..k let's go!

When I woke up, we were still in the van but we had parked somewhere. I sat up and unbuckled my seatbelt, looking out the window to see if anyone was there. I saw the two other buses parked somewhat close by so I didn't panic, then a knock came at the window. It was just Matt the tour manager so I opened the door as not to be rude. "Hey, Matt." I greeted groggily, using my left hand to rub the sleep out of my eyes. "Hellooo! Just wanted to let you guys know that we're at a pit stop and we have one more hour until we get to our first stop in Brisbane!" he said excitedly, whisper yelling most of his sentence.  "M'kay, what time is it?" I asked, still pretty dazed. "6:45am." he responded, looking down at his watch. "Well I gotta go but you guys are welcome to get out and stretch or go to the restroom or whatever." he said with a friendly smile before walking away to do whatever he had to do.

I grabbed my oversized "Oregon State University" sweatshirt and slipped on some low topped converses before stepping out of the van for a breath of fresh air. I put on my sweatshirt and fixed my shoulder length brown hair into a low -effort messy bun then started walking around the parking lot, looking at all of my surroundings and just taking everything in. I started thinking about how all of this happened and how the hell we were going to manage being on tour for seven months but I was snapped out of my thoughts when someones hand tapped my shoulder. "Hey, y'prolly shouldn't go so far away from the buses if y'don't wanna get lost." the stranger chuckled lightly. I turned around to see a male, not too much taller than me, with bright red hair on the top of his head and dark brown on the sides. "Oh, yeah." I mumbled before starting to walk back to the van. "Hey, hey, hey! Wait up, what was your name?" the stranger asked, running after me. "Uh, Tatum. Who're you?" I asked confusedly. "Josh." he replied simply. "See you around, sunshine." he said before walking off in the opposite direction. I was so fucking confused at this point you don't even know, I was just randomly stopped by some random dude in a parking lot then he ran after me just to get my name?! The fuck??

I'm back in the bus now and we're almost at our first venue. I'm currently eating pretzels and talking to Chloe about random shit, and her boyfriend Marc who was at uni in Manchester, England. I listened to her blabber on about "oh he sent me pictures of him at a really pretty bridge..." "ooooh I miss him sooo much, blah blah blah.". I eventually zoned out until she asked me a question. "So where were you this morning? Griffin said you weren't here when he woke up." she asked, a slight smirk playing on her lips. "I was just out for a walk, Matt said we were allowed to go stretch or go potty or whatever." I replied, trying to avoid talking about Josh. "Hmm, well did you meet anyone?" she asked, smirking. "Yeah, just some random dude named Josh." I shrugged. "Was he cute?" she asked curiously. "Ehhhh, kinda." I said softly, feeling my pale cheeks heat up a bit at the thought of the red haired boy, wait what? "Yay!!!! You totally have to talk to him again!" she said excitedly. "Chloe! I don't even know the guy! He could be a serial killer or a-a psychopath or something!" I argued. "Hey! If he was close to here, he's gotta be a crew member or something! Just see if you can find him when we stop, okay? PROMISE ME." she counter argued, trying to persuade me. "Okay, fine. I'll try to find this mysterious red - haired stranger/potential murderer, just for you." I groaned, playfully rolling my eyes at her. "Yay!!" she exclaimed.

We arrived at the venue after about an hour and a half due to traffic, but at least we were here. We all got out of the van and took our carry on's and our instruments before letting Matt lead us to our dressing room that we as a band, would share. We got to the dressing room and it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Chloe, Griffin and I set our bags down and Griffin left for a minute so that Chloe and I could get changed. I changed into a loose fitting black crop top with some black leggings and converse, along with a dark green bomber jacket because it wasn't too warm here. I also lightly curled my hair before tying half of it up into a bun and leaving the rest down. Chloe changed into some ripped jeans and a red crop top and tied her long black hair into a high ponytail. We both did each other's makeup (a tradition) and headed out, letting Griffin get dressed on his own. "Okay Tate, it's go time. Let's go find your boy!" she whispered, linking my arm with hers. I groaned as we walked around the entire arena trying to find this guys, until we came to a dressing room that said "Twenty one Pilots |-/". "Do you think he could be in this band?" Chloe asked in a whisper. I shrugged and she knocked on the door, unlinking our arms and smoothing out her hair. A not-so-tall brunet answered the door, he was cute but not my type. "What can I do ya for?" he asked in a soft voice. "Oh yeah, is there a Josh in your band?" Chloe asked confidently, placing both hands on her hips. "Yeeeah, one sec." the brunet replied, turning around and hollering for Josh to "come to the frickin' door some girls wanna talk to you!" . After a few seconds, the same red - haired boy from this morning came to the doorway. "Oh, hi! Tatum, right? N' who's this?" he asked, pointing to Chloe. "I'm Chloe, we're the new opening band." she replied, her confidence never fading. "Oh really? We're one of the opening bands too!" he said happily. "Uh, I gotta go but maybe I'll see you around at showtime, Sunshine." he said, grinning before closing the door and leaving Chloe and I extremely confused. "Sunshine?!" Chloe whisper yelled. "I don't know!!" i whisper yelled back. "He's hot." she whispered. "Chloe! Shut up." I mumbled. "Ooooh, is someone jealous?" she mocked, I lightly pushed her as we walked on to the stage and stood for a minute. Chloe got bored I guess and decided to do a back hand spring, I of course, had to show her up so I decided to do a back flip off of a little platform on the stage. "Oh-ho-ho, you wanna go?!" she challenged. "Bring. It . On." I replied.  I started off with an aerial and she retaliated by trying to do a front handspring with a somersault in the middle of the stunt but ended up falling on her ass. "You okay Chlo?" I laughed, walking over to her and helping her up. "Yep, just dandy." she laughed.

It was twenty minutes 'til showtime and we were all getting dressed and ready to go. I straightened my hair and let it down, in case I needed to head bang during the show. I was wearing a maroon skin tight crop top with some high waisted black skinny jeans and dark - ish eye makeup with some dark matte lipstick. Once we were all dressed and ready, I tuned my bass and adjusted the shoulder strap to the correct size for my small frame and we heard Matt yell "FIVE MINUTES. FIVE MINUTES 'TIL SHOW." that's when it all sunk in. I felt a sudden rush of adrenaline and I was as ready as I could ever be to perform at this show. After five minutes, we all made our grand entrance on stage. We started the show off with five originals then did a cover of Paramore's 'Still into you', cause the fans say really  I sound like Hayley Williams. When we were done we took our bows and exited at the left side of stage. We were met with a lot of praise from crew members and as I reached into the fridge to get  can of redbull, I felt a familiar tap on my shoulder. "Hey, Sunshine. Great job out there." I heard a smooth and soft male voice say. "Thanks, Joshua. You should get  out there, I think your band might play without you." I said, smirking slightly as I opened my redbull. "Yeah yeah, see ya!" he said, running out on to the stage. I walked closer to the side stage entrance so that I could see and hear the band better. They opened with a song called migraine that I really liked, and I also saw that Josh was the drummer, nice. Another thing I noticed was a big colourful tattoo sleeve that adorned Josh's right arm, it was really pretty and reminded me of a Vincent Van Gogh painting. I stood there for the entire show just watching and listening and admiring their amazing stage presence.

After the entire show, all of the bands met up in a communal room where there was pizza, snacks, drinks and music. I got to meet Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith, I also got to speak to the brunet who answered the door earlier, his name was Tyler and it was evident that he was the lead singer and pianist for tøp. I was standing by the buffet table and getting some snacks when I felt someone behind me. "Hey, Joshua is that you?" I asked. I heard a soft groan "Yep. Wanna hang out?" he asked. "Uh yeah sure one sec." I replied, picking up a few pieces of celery and two handfuls of pretzels before turning around and following Josh to an empty corner of the room. We sat down on some chairs that were there and I picked at a few of my snacks. "So Tatum, you put on a killer show tonight." he grinned. "Likewise." I replied, smiling a bit. "I'm guessing that you'd never heard of me and Tyler before this, am I right?" he asked, chuckling softly. "Mhm." I nodded, not speaking with my mouth full. "You guys were really, really good though." I said after I had finished swallowing my food. "Aw, thanks. Your voice is like, really pretty." he replied, smiling widely and showing his teeth a bit. I felt my cheeks go bright pink at his comment, "T-thanks, Joshua." I laughed softly, finishing my piece of celery and setting my paper plate down on the floor. What do I say next? 'Oh you looked really hot playing the drums up there!' No! Fuck! "So, do you like taco bell?" Josh asked, breaking the silence that had erupted. "Oh yeah totally, it's one of my favourite places." I replied, giggling softly. "Well that's great 'cause next stop, I'm gonna take you to taco bell." he said confidently. "Like, like a date?" I asked, probably smiling like an idiot. "If that's okay with you?" Josh confirmed. "Yeah yeah! That sounds great." I replied, the blush on my cheeks intensifying. "Sick." Josh replied, grinning with his perfectly straight teeth showing. "O-okay Joshua, I'm gonna go meet up with the guys but I'll catch you later." I said, standing up and stretching a little before walking off to join my band.
