All That I Have, All That I Need

Chapter five

We had just finished playing in Gold Coast a little over an hour ago and now I'm getting ready to go on my little date with Josh. I just took a warm shower and now I'm trying to find something to wear, something not too fancy but like, not too casual either.

I decided on a denim skirt and one of my favourite crochet crop tops cause Chloe said it shows off an ample amount of cleavage, I also stole Chloe's green knit sweater in case it gets chilly (which it probably will). I messed with my hair for a few minutes before deciding to just blow dry it and leave it out since I had cut it a little shorter and it was just an inch or so above my shoulder now. I took a deep breath and fiddled with the ring on my right hand before going out and sitting in the common area as I waited for Josh. I waited for about five minutes until Josh came in, he was wearing one of those basic 'Nasa' logo t shirts and a camouflage print jacket over top along with some black ripped skinny jeans and his usual backwards snap back. Needless to say, he looked pretty cute. I stood up and smoothed down my skirt, making sure that I looked presentable before walking towards him, "Hey Joshua." I greeted with a friendly smile. "Hello Sunshine," he grinned, "ready to go?" he asked. I nodded and we told the crew where we were going before heading out to the nearest taco bell.

We arrived at taco bell and Josh, being the gentleman he is, held the door open for me AND insisted that he pay for both of our food, of course not without some useless protests from me, hey at least I tried! We got our food and decided to sit at a booth, we ate at chatted about our families and our other jobs, I work at a record store part time and apparently so does he so that's cool. The two of us continued on with our banter until we had both finished our food, we decided to stay a bit longer just for some alone time I guess you could say. He was in the middle of telling me a joke when all of a sudden, he just froze. "Josh, Josh you okay?" I asked, waving my hand in front of his face, I saw him staring at something behind me so I turned around. I saw a red headed woman who looked oddly familiar for some reason. I turned around to see Josh still stunned in to silence and saw panic wash over his face when the woman from before approached our table. "Hi Josh!" she said, grinning creepily. "Oh uh, hi Debby." he stuttered slightly. "Who's this, Joshy?" she asked, now turning and pointing a finger at me as she spoke. "That's Tatum." he replied simply.  "Oh well I'm Debby, Josh's ex girlfriend. Nice to meet you, hun." she said condescendingly. "It's lovely to meet you Debby. I hate to cut this little meeting short but Joshua and I were actually on a date before you came so maybe we can catch up another time, hun!" I replied, a hint of aggression in my voice. "Mm, alrighty. See you around, Joshy." she said before turning on her heel and walking out the door. I heard poor Josh let out a breath of relief as he slumped back against the soft cushion of the booth seats. "You okay, Jishwa?" I asked softly, looking at him with a slightly sympathetic look on my face. "Yeah, yeah. Thanks for getting her outta here." he replied, sitting up and rubbing his face with both of his hands. "Hey, let's get outta here and do something else, yeah?" I said, getting out of the booth and waiting for him. He nodded and we threw out our trash before walking out of the building hand in hand, our fingers interlocked. 

We ended up going on a little walk and not getting into any further detail about Debby, I was fine with that. Now we're back at the parking lot where everyone was hanging out in their tour buses, Josh and I said our goodbyes before heading into our separate vans and getting ready to drive all the way to Melbourne, a seventeen hour drive.

AN//Sorry this isn't as long as the other chapters! This is sort of a filler chapter and I gotta figure out what's gonna happen next!
