"Aph..? What did you make me do..? And why did I say yes?"

~~~~~
I could move again. I could move everything but my arm.
I open my eyes.
I'm back here. The hospital bed. My arm had a cast on it.
"Garroth?" I ask. He wasn't here.
"...Aph?!"
I look to the corner of the room. Laurence was there. He had dark circles and his hair was messy. He jumped up and ran to the bed.
"Aphmau! You're awake..!"
"...what? How did I get here..?"
"I... I brought you here. I'm surprised. You're still so light after these few years..." He laughs.
He carried me here...
"Laurence... I'm sorry. I put you through thi--"
"No. Don't apologize. Just please don't say anything. I said yes and I hurt you. Nothing more to it."
I knew it was better to leave it alone. He hates when the blame gets taken from him.
"We can't tell Garroth... He'll never let you see me again." I said. Laurence looked up at me.
"...Okay, W-What are we going to tell him..?"
"I fell. I fell down the stairs. I called you for help and you brought me here."
"Why are you doing this..? You're so confusing. You called me over to hurt you... And now look at you. And then you plan hiding it from Garroth..."
"I'm going to tell him... Just not... soon. There's still things I haven't told him, yet."
"You mean... All this time you never told him anything about what happend to you..?" He says. He takes a seat on the bed.
"No, I told him things, just not about... the baby... I never knew how to tell him."
"You'll get to it someday. Don't worry. And he's just your friend. It won't matter that much."
He's just my friend..? Does he know..?
"Hey, Laurence, I'm not sure if you found out but... Garroth and I are--"
"Excuse me, sir." A lady comes in and interrupted me. "...oh! She's awake!"
"Yeah. She's been awake for about five minutes." Laurence says, standing up.
"Well, I guess after the doctor comes in to run some tests, she's gonna be free to go. I'll call him in right away."
"Alright, thank you." Laurence responds. The lady leaves and shuts the door. "Aph, what were you saying about you and Garroth..?"
"We... uh... never mind."
What's the point in telling him. If we were all going to hang out, I didn't want him to think he is the third wheel. He's better off thinking Garroth's my best friend.
~~~~~

Laurence and I made our way to the house. It was eight in the morning and was still raining, but laurence sacrificed his umbrella for me.

"How were you able to carry me and an umbrella at the same time to the hospital..?" I ask, opening the door to my house.

"Hey, I had some experience carrying people a few years ago." He laughs. I join in. We step inside and I shut the door.

"Hang up your jacket. I'll get one of Garroth's dry shirts for you. He won't mind."

I go upstairs and grab a T-shirt from Garroth's closet. I come back down and throw it at him. He takes off his shirt and switches it.
