I hear on the local radio station that the first serious winter storm is on its way, and Hoonah is straight in it's path.  Oh Yay, I'm so excited!(sarcasm) The forecasters says we've got about a day to prepare. I make a list of things of that I need to do. First I record a message  for my candy store; 'Oh! Susannah's Candies";  informing all we will be temporarily closed due to the impending blizzard, and to leave a message. I will need to stock up groceries, trashy tabloids for fun reading, get extra batteries, candles, water; make sure my generator is  primed and ready. I think I'll whip up a batch of chili, or maybe Garlic Chicken Noodle soup. A blizzard is PRIME  soup-making weather, my Mama taught me! And soup always tastes better the day after it's made!

I'm making a "Closed due to impending  blizzard" sign; and I think of My Noah. I hope someone gets word to him and his family; they live back in the bush, on Chichagof Island, about an hour boat ride from here. I haven't seen my  Renaissance Man for weeks and weeks. He tries to get to Hoonah every  chance he gets to come see me; but he's usually needed  in Browntown, the family's growing compound. Noah can re-create or fix just about anything; the ingenious solutions he comes up with just blows me away.

Sometimes he'll come into town with his brothers Matt, Bam, Bear, and Gabe to hear me sing and play guitar in a bar band named "Cabin Fever". Occasionally, he shows up as lovely surprise at my candy store for a visit. I take him back where the work is done...and into my office for some luscious make-out time! Such fun! It's good to be da Boss! Sometimes Noah will stay a day or two with me so we can be together, but I haven't  seen that man for...My God, it's been 2 months now! I just may have to get a boat of my own to go see that man! Projects be damned, I'll kidnap him!

I love being alone with him at my house; we have our own cozy little world. I turn off my phone and lock my doors. No one is to disturb us unless Armageddon is coming, period! Noah calls it his "Heaven Haven Home". He's kept so busy by his family with projects, when he is at my house he says he can truly relax and just be himself. He can do his meditation and Tai Chi, and I give him back massages that make him purr with contentment. Noah says he gets his batteries recharged when he stays with me. He has a goofy, silly side that he shares only with me, and we spend a lot of time laughing. I have a lot of stand-up comedians CD's, and Noah loves them.

We read books, and he will read poetry that he has written for me, always so beautiful and tender. He is teaching me chess, and I am teaching him backgammon and Tri-Ominos. I cook,  with Noah helping, and we listen to a lot of music. As a musician and singer I have an extensive music collection, and I am always playing something on my Bose stereo system. Without music, I couldn't fully exist. I am patiently trying to teach Noah that there ARE other types of acceptable music than opera. Unfortunately, as much as I try I'm never going to get into opera. I don't know foreign languages so I can't understand what they're singing, and that annoys me. I am  starting to enjoy some classical composers;  Noah says there is hope for me yet! (HAH)

We like to slow dance, and Noah loves to waltz with me; he is very elegant.  Noah likes to make a fire in my fireplace, light some candles, and ask me to play guitar and sing for him; it's such an intimate thing for us. I've been playing John Denver, some Simon and Garfunkel, some Dixie Chicks; Noah really enjoys those. He says there is something very comforting about a beautiful woman playing an instrument. (Beautiful? I sure don't think so, but hey...)There have been some incredible make-out sessions on thick fuzzy blankets on the floor in front of that fireplace! He is tenderly romantic and very sensual, and I just melt. Sometimes we get so close to the edge...but his honor makes him stop. He sleeps on one of my big leather couches in the living room. He's a bit old-fashioned, my Renaissance Man, and it's okay by me. When he is ready, I will already be ready! He treats me like a Queen, respectful and protective. He has the most thick, gorgeous brownish-blond hair; usually in a ponytail, and no one  is to touch it, including me (yet). He's got twinkly blue eyes, a beautiful smile, all set in an adorable baby face. He is absolutely delicious. I am madly in love with him.
