Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" from the movie, "Somewhere In Time"

We entered my dark bedroom. I reached over to the light dimmer switch and adjusted the two wall lamps mounted just above my headboard and around my room for the right atmosphere; cave-like, a soft, golden, romantic glow where we can still just see each other. I led Noah over to the bed and made him sit on the side. I stood in front of him and rested my hands on his shoulders and looked him directly in the eye...

I felt I had to ask him this question. "Noah...are you sure  this is what you  want? I mean, you've always had your Rules about Relationships...Do you really  want to marry me? I can wait if you feeling you're compromising your Principles...I mean, everyone knows you're the old-fashioned kind of guy...you can sleep on the couch, I would understand...I don't want you to regret this..."

Noah looked at me, shook his head as he sighed. His arms slid around my waist and pulled me to him. "Susanna, have you NOT heard me tonight, Woman??  I've told you I am in love with you, I've asked you to marry me. I've told you I threw all Rules out the window;  they never applied to you in the first place  because you're a woman, not a girl. I've told you you are a beautiful, incredible, desirable woman. I've told you that I realized when I was walking to your house, I was coming HOME...to YOU...and I NEVER  want to leave here. I've told you I want us to become lovers, I've asked you to trust in me.....to trust in us...What else  do I need to tell you, Susanna? What else??   Where  am I ?? I'm right here, where I want  to be...with YOU!!!   What more proof do you need??"

"I'm sorry, Noah. It's just that your reputation proceeds you, darlin'. Everyone knows how  highly principled you are, and I respect that. I would like nothing more for to us become lovers, to become your wife. Everyone knows you want to remain celibate until you marry. You are not   the only one who lies awake at night, aching for their Soulmate. These last couple of months have been excruciatingly lonely for me, too. I look up at each ring of the doorbell at the entrance of my shop hoping it's you and I constantly search for your beautiful face and smile when I'm playing at the bar. I can hardly put into words how incredibly wonderful it is that you came here to me; I don't want you to leave here either. I thank the Lord for this blizzard and that you chose  to come to me. I love you more than Life itself, Noah. I just don't want you to have regrets that we came lovers before  we marry. That's all, my love. Do you understand me, Noah?"

Noah doesn't speak, just looks at me, pulls me close and gives me a deep kiss. We don't let each other go, or stop kissing. Everything in our world falls into place. "I love you so much, Noah." I whisper, stroking his hair. (he must  love me; he's letting me touch his hair !   LOL !)

"How could I ever regret us, Susanna? I couldn't ever regret my Soulmate." Noah says very quietly.

"Well," I draw back, look at him. "there is one thing I regret, Noah." He gives me an angry, "Are you KIDDING  me??" look.
