A blizzard is on its way to S.E. Alaska...The Browns move to town temporarily to be safe from the elements...but Noah has someplace else he'd rather be to wait out the storm...and he does....it's where his heart and soul resides.....
The Browns piled into the Icy Strait Lodge Lobby to get checked in. They all were tired and cold; and couldn't wait til they got settled in their rooms. As they were checking in, Billy noticed Noah was missing from the group.
"Where's Noah at, daggummit?? Boys, where's your brother at ??" Billy looked around the lobby. The four other Brown brothers looked around, puzzled. "Where is he, anyway? He got off the Integrity with everyone else, where'd he go??" Matt asked his brothers. They all looked at each other, shrugged.
"Billy." Ami said quietly. "Noah is staying somewhere else. He'll be fine."
"Well, where, then ? Where's the boy at ??"
"Billy, we'll talk about it when we get to our room, okay? Kids, go find your rooms and get settled in. But hurry up, we're all gonna go get pizza before the blizzard hits." said Ami firmly.
Everyone moved off to find their rooms.
Ami unlocked their door and they went into their room.
"So, Am, where is Noah at ?" blustered Billy.
"He's staying...at Susanna's house. He said he needed some peace and quiet...for his soul. He told me they were in love and that he needed to be with her, and I believe him, Billy."
"What ?? He's staying at somegirl'shouse ??" Billy blustered. "Where does he get off ---- "
"Billy, listen to me. You've met her before; Noah brought her to Brown Town. She's the candy maker, Susanna, remember? The one that plays in that bar band at Marty and Maggie's Place that Noah and the boys go to see?"
"Who...what ? Oh, oh...I remember her now." Billy mumbled. His memory wasn't as good as it used to be since he'd been having his seizure problems. "So he's staying with her? He said they were in love?? How does he know what love is?? He's a -"
"Grown man, Billy. He's a grown man, with a very good head on his shoulders. I trust Noah completely, and you should, too." Ami said firmly. "If he tells me they are in love, then I believe him, Billy. He told me he needed to be with her for some peace and quiet...for his mind and soul. He said he would check in with us. So let's just let him be, Billy. They need time alone together; he hasn't seen her in quite a while...thanks to you. I told you you were working him too hard; he's worn down to a nub, exhausted. I think some alone time with her might just be what Noah needs. She is a very nice woman, Billy. A good woman, too."
"Well, Am, if you think so; I'll trust your Mother's judgment, then."
"Good." Ami smiled. "Let's go get some pizza."

They met the remaining Wolfpack in the lobby and headed to the local pizza place. Pizza was something that the Brown kids absolutely loved and missed the most when they were out on Chichagof Island. The family distributed themselves into a couple of booths with Billy and Ami taking the round table near them with whoever couldn't fit into the booths. Soda and pizza orders were taken; everyone settled in.
"So Mom, where's Noah at? Did he decide to go back and stay on the Integrity for the length of the blizzard ?" asked Matt.
"No," Ami answered. "He's at Susanna's house."
Matt started coughing, some soda had gone down the wrong pipe. Bam pounded on Matt's back to help him. When he could speak he said, "He's staying at Susanna's house?! You're kidding me, right, Mom?" He and Bam exchanged glances with raised eyebrows.
"No. He needed some peace and quiet time with her. Your Da has been keeping Noah so busy these last couple of months, he hasn't be able to see Susanna. They need some time alone together. He'll be checking in with us, not to worry." said Ami, smiling.
"Daanng," Matt said under his breath. "Lucky dude."
"Yeah, no kidding." Bam agreed quietly.
They both lapsed into silence, each thinking of what it would be like to be in Susanna's house alone with her...possibly snowed in with her.... They then looked at each other in surprise, realizing they had both been thinking of the same scenario. They had each thought that they were the only one who harbored romantic, erotic thoughts about Susanna...and envying Noah a whole lot right now....
"I like Susanna!" Bird said.
"Yeah, a whole lot! I think she's really neat!" added Rainy
"I like her too; I think she's Exxxtremely Awesome! Good for Noah; he's been awfully cranky lately." said Bear, grinning widely.
"That Noah, he gets all the breaks sometimes." grumbled Gabe.

My Noah and I are still snuggled up on my couch; listening to music, reveling in the fact that we are alone together, and a blizzard is on the way to keep us snowed in together! Noah has been very quiet; I suspect he's fallen asleep on me; too cute! I know he's been working very hard.
It's getting darker in my living room. I watch the snowflakes fall through the streetlights outside my window . I've always found a soft, fluffy, snowfall is romantic and kind of sexy. I've always thought it would make a sensual backdrop for lovemaking...(but not outside in the snow !)
I want to check the local news; I gently reach forward to get my remote, trying not to disturb My Renaissance Man who is asleep...
"Excuse me, miss...just where did you think you were going ?" Noah growls in my ear. So much for him being asleep! He kisses my ear softly, starts kissing down my neck, purring..
"I'm going to check the weather report, sweetheart. Need to know what we're up against."
Noah takes the remote from my hand, tosses it back on the coffee table. Takes off my glasses and lays them next to the remote. "It's a blizzard...we'retogether...and" he quickly maneuvers me so I'm laying down on the couch, laughing, and he covers my body with his. "that's ALL we need to know right now. Come here, love." He wraps his arms around me, I do the same with him. Noah bends down and lays his warm lips on mine, silently telling me just how muchhe's missed and needed me.
"Well, when you're right... you're right... darlin' " I purr.
"And I'm always right..."
"Cause you're some kind of mad genius, huh?" I laugh.
"Exactly, ! " Noah answers me with a sexy smile and kiss...
We are blocking out the whole world right now...how "Exxxtremely Awesome" for us !
