I'm going to keep the story in third person most likely,

Lynn fell asleep alongside her younger brother, Henry, last night after watching their favorite movie. Her head rested on top of his, Henry's own head laying on her shoulder. Lynn would usually wake up to a drool mark making its way to her cheek from the corner of her mouth, but that was usually when she was having a dream or just sleeping heavily. This morning was different.
Lynn blinked her eyes as the sun shot through the living room blinds, lifting her head to yawn and stretch. She stayed up longer then her brother in case their mother came back during the night. Which she didn't. Lynn rubbed her head and looked down at a sleeping Henry who now switched his head to rest on the back of the couch, his mouth agape.
Standing and making her way slowly to the kitchen, she brewed some coffee and popped two pieces of bread in the toaster. Little did she know it was indeed Monday, a school day. Poor Lynn thought it was a Sunday, and that she had the day off, lounge around and hang with her brother. But, when Lynn checked her phone taking a sip of her coffee, she nearly chocked on it.
Where are you?!?! The text that was sent at 8:23AM read, from Rachel. Lynn slammed her coffee on the counter, thankful the mug didn't break, and ran back into the living room. She shook Henrys shoulder until his eyes creased open.
"What?.." Henry asked, his tiredness intertwined with his voice.
"Henry, you have school! I have school! Get up! I'll drive you!" Lynn said to his, running back to her room to change quickly. As tired as she was, no matter how fast she was moving, she didn't put much effort in today's outfit. A simple gray pair of sweat pants and a hoodie was a Monday outfit routine for Lynn.
"But you don't have a licence.." Henry said as Lynn stomped back into the kitchen and buttered her second piece of toast, making her way over to Henry. "Can you even driv-"
Lynn shoved the piece of toast in his mouth making Henry's eyes go wide as he coughed a bit.
"Yes, I can drive. I have my permit!" Lynn shot back, her usual Monday morning attitude soothing its way into her tone.
"Get up, get dressed, eat!" Lynn pointed at him and walked back to move the remaining coffee in the pot to her coffee travel cup. When Henry finally came out of his room with a simple outfit, Lynn was writing late notes in her mother's handwriting she use to fake for field trips, permission slips, and report cards. She gave on to Henry and put one in her bag.
"Your tardy-slip. Give it to the office when you get their. I'll drop you off first." Lynn grabbed her bag and the keys on the table, Henry following her out when she opened the front door. Lynn literally ran to the car, hating the idea she was missing her first and second class. She started the engine as Henry closed his door, his bad between his feet on the car floor.
"Don't kill us." Henry murmured under his breath as Lynn backed out of the drive way. She rolled her eyes and made her way down her neighborhood street, passing the café on her way. Henry stared out the window, silent. She figured her mom's slap left a bruise or still a little mark on him, thinking that way Henry was wearing a long sleeve instead of his usual T-shirt. As for Lynn, she did still have a red cheek, but her friends knew how her mom was, and the chilly morning breeze would probably make her other cheek just as red.
