Hey, future Malachi (or I guess current Malachi and even at some point past Malachi) here, and before you get into this episode I just wanna alert you that it's unfinished. Really it's one of the reasons it took so long to post these 7 narrative episodes, because I kept struggling trying to find in my memory what these notes actually mean. The points I mentioned previously though are still valid, this is just an extended one. Enough rambling, enjoy.

"Jesus calls, Jesus calls-"

Nick: I think I get it.

As soon as my feet hit the floor I started on my way to the lobby downstairs. I had a much better night of sleep compared to yesterday. However, because of that, I was actually sleepy this time. It could be worse though, I could've not gotten any sleep during the night and still been sleepy in the morning. For devotion I channeled Octavia again for singing. She must have been good because I was noticed out of the crowd. After all that and we got our description of the day, we went to our rooms to get ready. Reverend Jackson mentioned the homework, and I remembered it myself. So I would only have 7 minutes to do everything. After getting ready and finding as many words that fit with specific letters as I could, I went downstairs for breakfast. Instead of everybody walking to the cafeteria, it was going to be boys in a group and girls as a separate group. We go to breakfast like this from now on I guess. Cereal is an all time favorite of mine, I even consider it my favorite food, so I got it for breakfast along with a waffle and sausage. Breakfast was pretty uneventful for me after that.

Yesterday in auditorium, this time in classroom
We'll split into classes later

Girls in front, boys in back

Today Reverend Jackson decided to tell us a little about his past. He used to be paralyzed before. He told us that last New Years, the doctors recommended him to stay on treatment, but he's heard that whatever you do on New Years at midnight will reflect what you do for that year, so he went to church that day. And now he's so much healthier. He can walk and bounce around like he does with all of his instructions. Following that he went over the meaning of the Lord's Prayer, and the postures you should pray in. He asked us tomorrow morning to try the Lord's Prayer and see if there was any difference in our day. I tried to commit it to my memory so I could try it myself.

I chilled in the dorm for a while and lost track of time. I was almost late for

Making us do recreation is ok, but choir is an actual thing we'll be doing. It's kinda like signing everyone up for the football team, even if they don't have proper training.

"How's your memoir going?"
Oh, Narrative? It's going great, thanks for asking

I'm not too good at basketball and I didn't want to be a weight on the team. I was benched for the start of the game, which was good. Mr. Funderburk gave the girls team a head start of 10 points. It seemed fair but throughout the game he made lots of nonsensical rules that would favor the girls' team.

I sat near others but it was kind of bunched up. I got to ask Ahnaca before someone asked about narrative and if they were in it. Technically they weren't, but now they are. I asked her name, and it was Alexis. But then I got buried in narrative questions so I moved over to sit where Kensley and Rodrick were. Kensley asked why I had moved and I explained. This is the price of fame for a writer like me. Kensley related to me, saying we were the only ones at the camp who were always on their phones. We high fived. Seems like I sat near the right person. After lunch we went to the dorms, where we could practice for the talent extravaganza or change clothes for it or get ready anyway we wanted. I took a shower, but I didn't change my outfit for the talent show. I decided it would be a good time to call my mom, since I normally forget to do so whenever I'm away. We caught up and she told me about a dream I was in. In her dream I was playing with fireworks and although that was fine, she advised me to be safe with them. Then dream me put on a sinister grin and hit her. Dreams are weird. For the rest of my free time I did narrative adding as I usually would. I stopped when the PA system asked everyone to bring a towel for the talent show. Me and everyone else were puzzled on whether they said 'towel' or 'talent.' I brought my towel just in case. When I got down to the lobby and asked, it was supposed to be a towel. We're now doing the talent extravaganza here, not in the chapel, so we brought towels to sit on the floor. But don't we sit on the floor all the time without towels?

In the lobby, not the chapel

Duets and poems and all types of wonderful performances.

But then Kensley went up, and for some reason, I felt motivated to read what I had put the effort into making. It was too late.
Nick: Hey, everyone already recognizes you as an author, so it doesn't really matter. I'm sure this will help you make choices in the future. After all, it would've been amateur work compared to other writings you've done.
