rachel is at grocery store getting ingredients for tonight she is planning to cook sebastian's fravorite meal as its their wedding anniversary their tenth to be exact. their three children were been watched by nanny yes they had a nanny life had been very good to rachel and sebastian rachel was a successful brkadway and film actress sebastian was a successful lawyer with his own law firm they lived in a mansion in up sate new york. they got the nanny so that rachel could continue her career though rachel was planning to take a year off to focus on family life she needed a break the gruelling trainig and hours involved in a broadway show coupled with three kids was very tiring.

despite them having the money to go to an exclusive restaurant for dinner they had decided a night in by themselves was what they wanted. plus they were going on holiday in three days time to celebrate.

as rachel walkes around the supermarket getting the things she needs she is reminded of the very first time she had cooked for sebastian. she had been seventeen at the ti e they had only been dating two months

flashback

rachel was in her kitchen her dads were out and sebastian was coming round for dinner he had made. comment about her been good at singing and dancing and acting that he assumed she was goos at everything and that he reckoned she was a brilliant cook so rachel wanted to prove he was right and cook for him.

unfortunately he as wrong she wasnt a very good cook infact she was a very bad cook. as she stood there wondering how on earth the chicken was half burnt and half raw the sauce she had made from a recipe book started to boil over. as she dealt with the sauce the oven mitt that she had used to get the chicken out caught fire off the ring the pan the sauce was in so the smoke alarm started going off. as rachel was panicking sebastian had arrived and upon hearing the smoke alarm let himself in to see if she was okay. he mangaged to put the fire out.

they had then soent three hours cleaning the kitchen so her dads wouldnt know what had happened and then once the kitchen was spotless he had ordered pizza.

rachel found herself smiling as she recalled that night as she placed several vegetables into her trolley as she planned to make a vegetable soup for starters.

once she had everythig she needed she headed to the check out before loading the groceries into her trunk as she then drove home she recalled the time when they were in college and they were going to a friends christmas eve party. thry had returned to ohio for the holidays the plan had been to drive over then get a taxi back to her dads and he would pick his  car up on boxing day. the snow was pretty bad that year

flashback

"rach come on"sebastian pleaded as she alterted her footwear four times while he hovered by the front door

" i dont want to slip"rachel had said as she was grabbing a fifth pair of boots as she had brought all her boots down tomthe bottom of the stairs which was where she was sat trying them on. sebastian had clearly had enough  as she was about to take the boot she had on off to put the fifth pair on sebastian picked her up and carried her out of the house and to the car.

"seb"rachel exclaimed

"it would  be the bloody new year before you decided"he said getting into the car

" dont you want me to look good"rachel said

"you dont need to wear anythjng to look good"he said rachel couldnt help but smile.

that was sebastian's only real flaw rachel thought he really was quite impatient except when it came yo their kids he hardly ever got stressed when it came to them.

then as rachel pulled into the driveway she thought of what happened later that christmas eve

flashback

"are we lost"rachel asked for the sixth time

"no"sebastian said as the car came to a halt

"you stall"rachel asked

"nope think we got stuck in the snow"sebastian said as he revved the car butvthey didnt move.

"what we gonna do"rachel asked

"well there is really only one thing we can do your gonna have to get out and push"sebastian said

"me push i have never pushed anything in my life"rachel said

"well you have had and experienced a lot of firsts with me guess this is another"sebastian said rachel looked at him she could tell be his face he was serious.

rachel got out and tried her best to push but it didnt work so as a freezing rachel gotvback in the car and gve a warm looking sebastian a look which told him he wouldnt be getting sny that night. he smiled at her he knew exactly what he was doing she couldnt stay mad at him thruth was they could stay mad at eachbother for very lkng. they werw both stubborn so arguements halpened but they werw both too the point and straight talking thatvthey always knew wherw they stood with each other.

"my fet are soaking they would if i had been able to put my other boots on"rachel said

"babe i didnt expect to get stuck"he said as he continued to try to getvthe wheels to move and finlly they did and they were onnthere way.

as rachel headed into their home their kids came running to her

"mommy"they all said as she hugged them benjamin was by dar the most like her with dark chocolately eyes louie was a mix of the two of them whereas their daughter phoebe was a female sebastian in everywat looks and personality rachel could gave s2orn when she was born she saw a smirk on her face.

as the kids went back to playing watched by their nanny rachel. sorted the stuff she had bought out when a large bouquet of flowers arrived from sebastian they were star gazer lillies her fravorite she loved the smell of them.

later

as rachel began preparing the food mia their nanny left. they only used her during the day rachel loved been a mom they had only given in and hired mia after rachel had been given the oppotunity of a lifetime to play maria on broadway. but once they were both home they were a family and thats how that liked to spend their evenings.
