Red : Hell no.
Ghost : There's no Jake. Only monster.
John slowly approaches the monster that stood infront of them. For others, It's a monster but for him, nothing but his son.
John : Jake....
Jake : [growl]
Red : Get the hell out of th-
John : Ssshhh! Jake, let's go home. Lena is waiting....
Jake : [growl]
John : Your...your mother is waiting.
John stares deeply into his son eyes and he can see a tear flowing from both of his eyes. John know that there are still Jake in that monster. John slowly took his steps. Suddenly Jake roars in pain and clenching his head. A shock wave are coming from Jake's roar and blew John off the ground. Red and Ghost get John up and backing away from Jake.
Red : We have to move!
The building is shaking hard and the ceiling begin to crumble. They are trying to escape the building but got blocked by unknown wall of force.
Ghost : So it's begin....
Red : What?
Ghost : Their experiment is a success. The first ever hybrid.
John : What the fuck do you mean by hybrid?!
Ghost : Half human, half mutant. Enhanced abilities and strength. Telekinesis and psychic are possible. Able to adapt to almost anything. You name it; guns, grenade, and even tank.
Red : Try this!
Red shoots his gun and hit Jake's head which make him raging even worse.
Red : Oh shit.
Jake jumps in with superb speed and able to grab Red. He slams Red to the ground and stopped immediately by Ghost but then he got pushed aside but Jake. Then, he rushes toward John but John able to dodge it.
John : Jake! Don't make do this, please!
Jake momentarily stopped and then got shot by Red from the side. He change his target to Red and at the same time Ghost was firing at him too. Soon, he collapse to the ground and fell on his knee. Surprisingly, the wounds are regenerating and pushing the bullets out of his body. Ghost removes the safety pin from his grenade and throw it toward Jake. Unfortunately, Jake grabs the grenade and throw it back to Ghost.
Red : GHOST! RUN!!
But it was too late. The grenade exploded and destroys his bottom half. John tries his best to distract Jake away from them. Red kneel beside the dying Ghost.
Red : Come on, homes. Don't die...
Ghost : Sha...dow...
Red : Ghost!
Ghost : It's a..n...honor...to..serve...you.... [die]
Red : Rest well, my friend.
Red picked Ghost's rifle.
Red : John! Run back to the town and tell Doc what happened here.
John : What about this [dodge] monster?
Red : I'll hold him while you escape.
John : What?! Don't do this! We-
Red : There is no "we", John. Plus, it's been awhile since someone called me by my old name. "Shadow". I guess the name will die with me here.
John : Here, take this. That's my last magazine.
Red : It's nice knowing you, John.
John : ....
John runs to the outside and he saw a truck that belongs to the government. He gets into the truck and trying to ignite the engine through wires. He succeed and left the collapsing building behind. Once he reach the city, he warned Doc to evacuate everyone. The townspeople are evacuating.
Lena : Dad, come with us.
John : I can't, sweetheart.
Doc : Come, Lena. We have to go now.
John : I can't leave your brother behind.
Lena hugs his father one last time.
John : I'll be right back. I promise...
Lena : [sobs] Make sure this time its true.
John : I...I will.
The last truck are leaving John behind the emptied town as he wait for Jake. Moments later, a crashing sound was heard by John not far from the main gate and Red was coming from the gate and gravely wounded. John tries to reach for Red but then Jake appear out of nowhere. He grabs Red.
Red : If I'm going down, I'm going down with you!
Red reach for his grenade and remove the pin. Jake just hold him in his hand. The grenade exploded and when the dust is settled, Jake is still standing with no sign of injury but Red's body are torn into pieces. He throws the body aside and slowly walk toward John.
Jake : John....
John : Jake?
Jake : John...
John : Stop it right there!
Jake stopped his movement and clenching his head. Slowly he's regaining his humanity.
Jake : D-d-dad....r-run...
John : Huh?
Jake : Ki..lll me... I can't...control it..!
