Twenty years had passed since.....

The city of Haven has developed from a wasteland to a magnificent town. They have a better defense system, thanks to the advanced technology that was left by the government after their defeat. Most of the former government mercenaries and personnel had giving up their stand and decided to live with the survivors. Some of the survivors were holding their grudge against the former since they had lost their beloved ones to their hands. They label them as "Formy", or former.

The community was led by Doc where he was appointed as the mayor of their town, a sign of gratitude after saving them from the war. They also never forget those who sacrificed their life especially Jake and Lars and they built a statue at the center of the town, in honor of them two.

Doc takes a sip of his tea while standing by the window and staring at the statue.

"It's been twenty years...."

A knock on his door wakes him from his delusion from the past.

"Come in."

The door opens and visibly gray-haired Karl enters the room. He rests his katana against the wall and takes a seat in front of Doc's desk. Doc pours a cup of tea for Karl and places it on the desk.

"What is the occasion, Karl?"
"Nothing. Can't I visit a friend of mine? Or perhaps enjoy a cup tea?"
"Hahahaha. You're right, buddy."
"Twenty years, Doc. It's kinda odd for me. I know this is weird but I kinda miss the action."
"What can I say, friend. Especially people like you."
"Well, you and your friends were mercenaries back then. How did you overcome the urge to kill after for sometimes?"
"I didn't. I'm just good at hiding it."

His office isn't far from the hustle and bustle of the town square but this time it caught their attention. They look through the window and they can see a bunch of people is chasing one young man throughout the town. Eventually, the man trapped at the center where the statue lies. Slowly he takes a step back and lies against the statue.

"Give it up, kid!"
"Why should I?"
"You stole something from people!"
"Actually, I just took it back from the people who got snatched by them."

The guards try to catch him but he evasively jumps to the top of the statue.

"Get down, brat!"

Doc is trying to get through the crowds and eventually face the young man who causes the entire ruckus. The guards raise their hands and salute.

"Sir!"
"Stand down, soldier. I got this."
"But, sir-"
"I said, I got this."
"Sir, yes sir."

Doc looks at the face of the young man and smile.

"You have grown up."
"Uncle Doc...."
"Get down here, young man. We'll talk at my office."

He hops off the statue and follows Doc all the way to his office. There, Karl is still sitting at his chair and enjoys his cup of tea.

"You caused all the trouble, kid? I thought you were having training with Devil."
"He's lame. Plus, a little walk on street is not bad."
"Your father respected him and you called him lame?"
"Screw him."
"Watch your tongue, kid."

He tries to get up from his chair and Karl points his gun directly at his head with a quick reaction.

"You would have foreseen this if you had your training with Devil."

The man disarms him and they engage in hand-to-hand combat and Karl come up with the gun once more and pinned down the man on the ground.

"A fool's first lesson is his last."

Then, Doc and a middle-aged woman around her forties arrive at the office. The woman yells out his name and asks him to stop at once.

"Connor McGrady!"
