Finding You

Chapter ~~12

NAVIA

            I got the feeling of falling and slowly I opened my eyes. My hair was being blown all around my face. What the hell? Oh god I am falling. And I’m falling backwards. I looked above me to see Lucas diving towards me with his hand stretched out trying to catch me. I reached my hand out to him begging him not to let me fall. Second by second he got closer, and every second I was praying not to hit the ground.

             I closed my eyes and said goodbye.

            “No Navia think of life.” Lucas said. I opened my eyes and he was there. He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me against his chest. Oh god, I was about to die. I was breathing hard. I held onto his arms with all the strength in my body. “I have you.” He was flying at a high speed.

            “What’s going on?” Why was I even up that high?

            “We are being attacked. Listen I have to hand you to Claude. I am going to distract the rouges. That is your chance to get out of here.”

            “Rouges? What are rouges?”

            “There is no time. I will explain later. Tell Claude to go to the institute. Go straight there and do not turn back no matter what.”

            “Lucas.” What is he about to do? “No, you could get hurt.” He just looked down at me and smiled. Suddenly he threw me in the air and I was caught by Claude. He looked like he was half awake. There was blood coming from his mouth. I looked behind him to see Lucas surrounded by Demons.

            “Claude go back” I said. I heard a scream and the air seemed to chill. “Turn around” I yelled. “Please Claude. Go back.” I tried to hit him but my hands were pinned.

            “Sorry but I have to get you to safety.” I screamed and yelled but Claude wouldn’t turn around. We landed in the middle of the four buildings. Claude collapsed. I could now see that he was all torn up. Oh shit, his foot. It was badly mangled and barely even looked like a foot anymore.

            “Help” I screamed “Somebody help me. Claude’s hurt. Please someone help me.” I screamed and screamed. It took two minutes for someone to come outside and help.

            Then suddenly I was surrounded. Demons picked up Claude and carried him away. The rest of the Demons stood around me, inclosing me in a circle of their bodies.

            “What happened?” a Demon shouted from somewhere around me.

            “We were attacked”

            “By whom?” someone else shouted.

            “Lucas said something about rouges”

            The circle around me turned to chaos. It became a shouting match seeing who could be heard. Everyone was talking, and no one was moving.

            “Shut up” I yelled as loud as I could make my voice to go. The crowd went silent. “Lucas is still out there fighting. He needs help. Instead of yelling you should be flying and going to his aid.” They all looked at me. Some looked mad, and others looked ready to fight. The air seemed tense. Maybe I shouldn’t have yelled at them and told them to shut up.

            “She is right” said a voice. Demons began to move to make way for someone. It was professor Marsden. “Lucas may-” She stopped and looked to the sky with fear in her eyes.
