It is quiet and eerily calm in the underground headquarters of MI6. In the aftermath of the airport attack and the failure to capture Jason Bourne, the agents of MI6 are putting a heavy focus on his capture and the mystery of the airport attack. Bond is in M's office, sitting in a chair waiting for M to return. He looks into nothingness, comprehending the complications of the Jason Bourne mission. He is holding a mysterious CIA file in his hand. Suddenly, M barges into the office. He looks angry and determined, as sits on his chair and angrily shuffles his files aside.

"Sir, we were outsmarted," Bond tries to calm M.

"By bloody fucking Jason Bourne," M responds, trying not to raise his voice. "He humiliated us and insulted our intelligence. We actually thought, for one bloody second, that he'd willingly negotiate, and haul his arse over here to help us," M finishes. Bond tries to think of a proper response.

"I think Ernst Blofeld was behind the attack on Heathrow," Bond responds, trying to divert the conversation away from the mission's failure. "Those men were Bourne and that girl," he finished.

"I agree, but my gut tells me they were specifically after the girl, which is why I want to know who the bloody hell she is," M tells Bourne.

"Nicolette Parsons, goes by Nicky. A CIA friend of mine (M looked at him as if he was kidding) gave me a copy of her file," Bond explains as he takes places the CIA file in front of M.

"Bloody hell, 007, we are investigating the CIA, not working with them," M says, sounding disappointed.

"He's retired but he still has a way of accessing the files. Never mind that, the file states that she used to be an employee at the Treadstone Paris safe house. She briefly aided Bourne in the evasion of the CIA, and may have been romantically involved with him. That may be the reason why SPECTRE went after her, to use her as leverage against Bourne," Bond finishes.

"Good work, cut your ties with this CIA friend. We can't be asking for their help if we are investigating them for illegal experiments and operations," M explains.

"Yes, sir," Bond replies.

"Find out where Bourne is hiding this Nicky Parsons. We can promise Bourne that she will receive protection and surveillance if he cooperates with the British government," M finishes.

"Yes, sir. However, if it's alright with you, I'd like to take a more aggressive approach to capturing Bourne," Bond responds.

"No, we will do this right, without any damage," M commands.

"It is the only way! That son of a bitch may have valuable details about the operations conducted by the CIA, but he murdered two of our finest," Bond responds in a louder tone.

"He is an asset, he is not our enemy!" M responds in a commanding tone. Bond looks at him, frustrated. "Where is this coming from? You agreed to handle things within the rules, with no further destruction or damage, and I suggest you abide by those agreements, or else your arse is off this operation! Are we clear?" M looks at Bond, hoping he'll listen.

"Yes, sir," Bond responds, hesitantly.

"Off you go." Meanwhile, back at an undisclosed SPECTRE base, Brummer enters Blofeld's presence. He patiently waits for Blofeld to begin speaking, as he looks around the room he has entered. He spots Blofeld's Persian cat as it runs by him.

"That is Trudi. She is named after my mother, Trudi Blofeld. She is feisty, this one. See those two dead dogs over there by the pool?" Brummer looks over to the pool. He sees the two dead dogs Blofeld was referring to, with little to no meat left on their skeletons and flies buzzing around them. "Trudi attacked them, killed them, and ate them over a span of two days. (Laughs) They did not see that coming," Blofeld finishes.

"You brought me here to praise your cat?" Brummer responds, irritated. Blofeld didn't seem to pay much mind to his question

"It just goes to show that, despite dogs being higher up on the food chain, a cat should not be underestimated. If you aggravate a cat, the cat will attack," Blofeld explains to Brummer.

"What the fuck is this-" Brummer yells out before Blofeld raises his hand.

"You failed to capture Jason Bourne and Nicolette Parsons. You let them escape, Brummer. And I would not call that a comfort for me or for my organization," Blofeld finishes.

"I promise you, sir, I will that arse and his bitch to you," Brummer responds, seemingly frightened by Blofeld's indirect threat.

"His name is Jason Bourne," Blofeld corrects Brummer. "And she can lead me to him," Blofeld tells him.

"Right, sir," Brummer responds. He attempts to maintain the serious face, trying not to show fear.

"Fail us again, and you will regret working for me," Blofeld tells him. "Have a splendid day." Brummer heads out, frightened by the meeting. Meanwhile, Bourne and Nicky are at their hideout. They are watching the news coverage of the Heathrow Airport attack.

"What now?" Nicky asks Bourne.

"We have MI6 tailing us, the CIA after us, and SPECTRE," Bourne responds. Nicky looks confused.

"SPECTRE?" Nicky asks him.

"Terrorist organization, led by an Ernst Blofeld," Bourne responds.

"What do they want with you?" Nicky questions.

"If I were to take a guess, they want to make more men like me, or use me as a weapon," Bourne responds, while still watching the news. Nicky looks worried, and Bourne turns around and notices.

"Don't worry, they can't catch me or you," Bourne reassures her.

"No, I know," she responds. Bourne nods. "I just thought I was done with this life. Done with Treadstone, done with being in constant danger, done with running," Nicky explains. She looks stressed and tired but not upset. Bourne looks at her, seemingly understanding where she is coming from. He walks over to her.

"This will be the last time I will get you involved in this. But I need to keep you safe," Bourne explains back. Nicky nods. She then immediately hugs him. Upon receiving the hug, Bourne starts to recall a time where he and Nicky dated during his time as an assassin. He looks at her in the eye, as she looks back, face to face. He then locks lips with her, kissing passionately. They look in very intimate towards one another, as if they have found themselves in each other, all over again. They go over to the bed and continue to kiss wistfully.
