17: Taste Of Shi

Itona Horibe pov:

I was lying on the tree waiting for a chance to snipe. My scope on the woman's head. Just one signal and I can take her out. No wind. This could go straight the window in a straight trajectory and go through her head.

Just then another face comes through my scope. Tsk. Blocking me. What? He smiled at me. He know I'm there? He takes out another gun...

He's mouthing something...

Getting on my nerves... that smirk face. As if saying you can't even reach me. Like his gun can reach mine. That small gun of his doesn't even have enough power.

He triggers. The bullet wouldn't even reach here. Not even the trajectory.

*Pew* my tree shakes a little. What? His bullet can reach here?!! Modified gun huh? I'll kill you.

I aim properly again... right... just a trigger. This trajectory. It will go through your head and come out from another side. Blood will spill. You will die.

I squeeze on my trigger... just a little more... the bullet will fly out of the pipe of my sniper gun.

That smile... looking away even. Looking down on me?

I triggered it. Watch the bullet fly through the window. The window doesn't break like I imagined it too, and just one small hole created... it goes through his head. The bullet exits to the other side of his head... he collapses.

What's this... this feeling of terror and satisfaction... I look on my hands... I killed that guy...

Kayano Kaede pov:

I had sneaked into the house from the back door to look for Hiyuri in case they don't return her. So far so good... no enemies at all. It's so quiet... it's kind of feeling weird.

I reach a long hallway with rooms on one side. There is a man guarding one of the rooms. Hiyuri is probably in there.

Tsk. Found me out so fast? I didn't even say anything or make a sound.

" Your presence to want to get rid of me is strong."

I walked out " was it?"

" Hiyuri was inside here. She's out now, in the living room with Rias."

I smiled and asked " you... won't just let me go.. will you? Heh."

" Usually I'll just open this door behind me and let Hiyuri out to bite you to death. But... she's not in ... guess I've to do it."

Let Hiyuri out....? He make it sound like he's keeping her in instead.

" That face... thinking... correct. What you think is correct. It's to keep her in. I'm to keep her in. I wonder if the friends she make are any stronger."

" Looking down on me? " I clanked my short blade to his, as he rushed towards me. With his tremendous strength, he pushed me away. I flied into the wall.

That... underestimating look... it can't be I'm this useless... that face... that smirk. He's going to really kill me. That murderous aura... damn it.

If I'm lucky... now that he thinks that I can't stand up again... I might have a chance.

That's right... come closer... closer... " bye bye " he says with that face of victory. He swings his from left to right aiming for the one line across my neck... now.

*Clank* I raised up my blade, blocked it sideways and in that instance at the same timing, I took out my gun and triggered it. The bullet flies through his chin and out of his skull. Blood spills... he collapses. I push his body off me.

That's one down. Ugh. Blood...

I... killed... a man.

Akabane Karma pov:

Karma: come out come out wherever you are.

" Noticed me? "

Karma: your eyes on me the whole time is annoying.

" Oh? And what are you doing here? In the garden? Shouldn't you be waiting at the front door in case something happens?"

Karma: don't people usually escape through the back?

" But for your friend, Nagisa, isn't it faster to the front. "

Karma : Nagisa probably can handle himself.

" That arrogant smirk. It's as if you're bored and waiting for me to come out and play. "

Karma: I am.

" The feeling of killing someone. Have you even had it? "

Karma : you think I can't kill you?

" You can't. You're just a mouth. " And he charges towards me. He starts with a high kick swing to my head. I squat and dodges it grabbing his leg above me. With that, he leans onto my grip on his leg and swings his other leg into the air and kicks my arm that was grabbing onto his leg.

*Crack* .... are you joking? My bone cracked... pain... but still usable...

I had to let go. He flies a distance and used his palm to land on the ground and did a cartwheel to gain his feet on the ground again.

So annoying. That's it. Whatever no killing or not. I crack my knuckles... this guy is going down. Underestimating me.

Alright... how am I going to get you killed?

" Hiyuri!!!" Nagisa screamed. Ah. Ah. Better get this done. Now.

That man ran towards me and swings his leg at me. He aims for my stomach. I dodge it by retreating backwards. He tries that again a few times and I just keep dodging it by retreating backwards. Ah. Wall.

He kick swings again once more. I put my palms to the wall behind me and lift my body up and did a split with my legs.

Now. Perfect timing. His legs swinging into the walls breaking it. In that instant, I jumped from the wall and plunged towards him. He saw my short blade.Expected me to swing forward and slice you so you lean backwards?

No. I threw it and it went through his throat. And of course... leaving it inside would mean you can live one more second longer.

So... a tug of the wire on the blade... the blade comes out of his throat and blood flows on like nobody's business. His eyes still open collapsed on the floor.

Karma : good night mister.

Ah. All these blood... I squat down beside him... I really killed him.

My hands... they're a little shaky... I clench them into a fist to stop the shaking.

I'm not scared. Damn it. I'm actually excited for another one. A smile unknowingly crept onto my face...

Crap... If this goes on... I'll just be someone who kills with no conscience.
