Chapter 6 - The Run

"Doctor, will she survive this?" I hear familiar voice ask. Who is it?

"I don't know alpha. It's her fight. The only thing we can do is give her something to fight for."
The person from who I think it's the pack doctor says.

"Allright, do you have a minute? Then I'm going to get someone that might help her."
This sounds like a person with power, like an Alpha. He walks away.

"Come in Lucas. She can hear you, but she can't react. Give her reasons to stay alive. While you are here I won't be in this room. You have all privacy you want." The pack doctor says.

"Doctor, I almost killed her! Why would she want to have anything to do with me. I am the person that made that she is in the hospital now."
I hear Lucas walk, no run away.
What if I mindlink him. He would probably as first think that it's his imagination. I laugh, softly.
Suddenly I hear everything better, like I come back to earth.

"That is because you really come back to earth. I almost thought you would seriously die." Kyra says.

"Oh... Well I'm happy that I'm still alive, but can we get out of this hospital. I'm getting crazy of hearing the whole time bliep-bliep-bliep." I say.

"That's how fast your heart beats. You're being monitored." Kyra softly says, letting out a sigh afterwards. Probably she's thinking I'm crazy and I can't say that I'm not.

"I know that, I'm not stupid. Maybe a little bit, but whatever. Can we get out of here?"
Kyra starts to smile.

"Hell yeah. That's my girl! You know that the doctors won't be happy with it, do you."

"No shit, Sherlock. I know that damn well, but I'm not going to stay here doing nothing while Lucas is somewhere out there with a guilty feeling and who knows what he is going to do. So, can we change into a wolf?"

"Yes we can."

Suddenly I feel a sharp pain going through my body and a second later I lay on the bed with four paws. When I look at them I see that they're white with red stripes on it and it looks like the stripes are moving all the time. I try to stand up, but everything feels so weird.

"Kyra?"

"Yes?"

"Can you maybe help me a bit."

"I can control the wolf so that we get out of the hospital, but you really have to learn it yourself."

"Lets do this!"

I feel how Kyra takes over my body. We smoothly jump out the bed and walk to the door. As we walk out the door suddenly opens. What the...? I look up and I see the Alpha and Lucas.

"Kyra, would you mind to show me how fast we can run?"

"I'm going."

We run through the legs of the Alpha and Lucas and we run through the hallway.
When we finally reach the door that gets us outside we hear Lucas.

"Kendra wait!"

Nope. I'm not gonna wait. We try to get the door open but that doesn't work. I look at the door trying to find another way to get out. The glass in the door. Ofcourse. I walk a little back and start to run as fast as I can and I jump up. Like it's magic the glass breaks, but when I expect to feel solid ground I feel only air.

"Kendra, you have to change back into human."

"Allright."

I change into human and while I'm falling down I turn a bit, so the tips of my fingers point down and my toes up. Before I fall in the water I take a deep breath. It hurts a bit when I touch the water. As fast as I can I swim up to catch some air. Now I can breathe again I swim to the hill that raises out of the water. I start to climb uphill when I hear a *splash* behind me. Shit! While I run up hill I hear someone catch a deep breath. ''Kendra..." it's a soft whisper, but I heard it very good.

You serious? Once upon a time there was a stupid young man who decided to jump after me. It's his choice. I wouldn't have done it.

''Kendra?'' I hear Kyra suddenly ask.

''Yes?''

''You'd better just stop running.''
What the schnitzel is happening? Is she sick or something?

''You're confusing me. Really.''

''Oh you stupid. He won't let you get away. And no, I'm not sick.''

''Why won't he just let us go?'' Because he's a boy.

Boys are weird, not understandable creatures. Sometimes they're possessive, sometimes they want nothing to do with the outside world and that change in a matter of seconds.

I've warned you. Always keep chocolate near when you're with a boy. When he has a mood change, you grab your chocolate slowly eat it and then you ask him of he wanted a piece too since you have another one. Hopefully it makes him laugh, if not, run as fast as you can.

I could write a book about it. 'How to handle being around boys'.
Perfect.

''Do you remember what I told you when you first heard me?'' Kyra says, ignoring my rambling about understandable boys.
When did we even meet first? Oh, never mind. I know it.

Flashback

" Mate."
What?

"You heard me. I said mate. He. Is. Our. Mate!"
I'm becoming crazy I know it for sure.

"You're not becoming crazy you already were."
I hear the person laugh.

"Who the hell are you?"
I ask the person in my head.

"I'm your wolf you stupid."
Oh. Wait, what? But I'm not sixteen yet.

End of flashback

"Yes I remember. Why? Oh, wait. I think I understand. He is our mate and because of that he won't let me go."

"Finally you understand."

"Yes I finally understand. But that doesn't mean I stop running. I was locked up in there!"

"You are right."

With that I changed into my wolf and I run as hard as I can, knowing that Lucas would follow me. Where I'm going? I really have no idea.

Bang!

Aargh. I bumped into a tree. A really big one. How could I not see it? Stupid me. This isn't the first time that something like this happens. When I had the age of six I once fell in a hole that I made just a few minutes earlier.

I have to move on, but when I try to stand up I immediately fall down. What's happening with me?
"I think we have a little problem. Maybe it helps if you sleep a bit."
"Yeah. But it isn't really late though."
I look up to the sky and see it's getting a bit dark. Maybe it is late. Whatever let's try to sleep.

I have to say one thing though.

Does anyone have chocolate? I'm gonna steal it, because I don't have chocolate and without chocolate I die.
