E L I S A

"I'm gonna go get some nachos you want any?" Ethan shook his head no & kept his eyes fixed on the game. So much for not liking football. I playfully rolled my eyes and made my way down the bleachers. There were a lot of people here for a Tuesday night. Everyone was wearing green and black, our school colors, & Ethan somehow convinced me to put on his old football hoodie.

He said he only played his freshman year, and it was because Grayson convinced him to.

I was standing in the food line when I felt someone's hands on my lower waist. I spun around only to see Graham with the rest of his friends. I shoved his hands away & that once playful smirk was replaced with an angry glare.

"Don't touch me." Graham looked back at his friends slightly shocked, but that didn't last because his angry glare quickly returned. "What? You think you're too good because you have a friend now? Probably trading sex for someone to hang out with just so you won't look like such a loser, well guess what that's not gonna happen because you will always be an outcast. A nobody."

Once I felt the tears brimming my eyes a devilish smirk crossed Graham's face. Suddenly adrenaline rushed through my veins, anger replaced my humiliation, and before I could stop myself my fist met Graham's nose.

The crunching noise made everyone around us go silent. The blood that was dripping down Graham's hand as he tried covering his nose only made me realize what I had just done. Graham's eyes were filled with something more then anger, more then disbelief. He was fucking furious. I could see all of the matches being set off in his head, and I was the target. I covered my hands with my face when I saw his fist coming straight towards me. I never felt the impact, just a few gasps, and when I looked up it was my turn to gasp.

Ethan had Graham's fist wrapped tightly in his hand, making Graham's fist look like an infants compared to Ethan's large hands. I couldn't see Ethan's face, but based on Graham's reddening face, I could tell it wasn't exactly a good one.

"How dare you try putting your hands on her. I will gladly break your entire fist right now so you won't be able to play baseball anymore." My eyes widened. Baseball was Graham's entire life, he loved it more then he loved himself.

"But I won't." Graham's face noticeably relaxed.

"Never mind." The cracking bones that followed shortly after Ethan's words made you cringe. Graham's scream didn't help either. Ethan dropped Graham's hand creating even more pain for him. Ethan grabbed my hand and went up to the stunned teenager at the concession stand that had just witnessed the entire scene. "Can we get some nachos please?" The girl nervously prepared the nachos and gave them to us. Ethan pulled out a $5 bill and placed it in the girls hand.

He led us out of the crowd and inside the girls bathroom.

"Why are we in here?" Ethan pointed down at my bloodied hand. I gasped and brought my hand closer to my face, I never even noticed my hand was bleeding after I punched Graham.

Ethan grabbed my hand carefully and got some warm water on a paper towel and gently pressed it up against my fist.

"You've got a good punch." I rolled my eyes despite wanting to laugh at Ethan's comment.

"Well you've got a very strong hand." Ethan shrugged his shoulders and got another paper towel to get rid of the excess water on my fist. "Thank you Ethan. No ones ever stood up for me like that." Ethan looked up at me but didn't say anything, he was just looking at me. I instinctively looked down at his lips & immediately wanted to slap myself for doing so. Ethan also looked down at my lips & back up to my eyes. I wanted to lean in so bad, but I didn't want to cross any boundaries.

However I didn't have to.

Because all of my paranoid thoughts fled my mind once I felt Ethan's lips on mine. I was frozen at first, not knowing what to do, but after a few seconds I kissed him back.

Ethan put my fist down and set his hands on both sides of my head. I didn't know what to do with my hands at first but Ethan grabbed them and put them around his neck.

Once I opened my mouth Ethan pulled back. Slightly hurt, I furrowed my eyebrows when his eyes met mine. I set my hands down at my side because of my stupid slight stubborn nature.

It felt like me and Ethan were talking without the use of words.

He was warning me. He is a broken person that I don't know that much about. He is the type of person that doesn't stay.

In a low voice, I said "you're not gonna stay are you?" Ethan shook his head no.

I wasn't sure what to do. I knew Ethan had to leave but I didn't want to spend one second where I wasn't with him.

"Okay." Ethan set his forehead on mine with his hands resting on my waist.

"Don't ever let anyone make you less then who you are." I nodded and held on tightly to his shirt. Ethan kissed the top of my forehead and I knew, everything would be okay.

I didn't care if Ethan was going to leave, if it means I'm with him right now, than it's worth it.
