Taylor-Ann's POV
"I know that it's a little later than usual, but the school board has called a time for the student council elections. Any nominees?"
Every hand in the class went up. (Including mine). I got called first.
"I nominate Arabella Thomas for Vice President" Bella blushed and Ms. Mason called on Keith
"I nominate myself for treasurer!"
"So do I!" said Troy
Everyone began shouting at the same time until we heard Ms. main say "Yes, Marcel?"
The room got dead silent and we all stared at Marcel.
"I-I-I nominate Taylor-Ann for," he paused for a second and then swallowed "President"
The class stayed silent for a while until someone in the back started clapping, and then the entire class erupted into applause.
"Yeah, Taylor-Ann for President!"
It took me a while to realize that they were applauding the notion itself and not the person who had given it.
The class began chanting
"Taylor-Ann, Taylor-Ann!" which made me blush, but I had to admit the idea sounded good
Taylor-Ann Duncan, Student Body President. Yeah, I like the sound of that.
