"Marcel?"
"Yes?"
"What are you doing?"
"I'm testing the circuits, why?"
"Because just looking at you confuses me"
He stood up "Is not complicated, Annie"
I sighed, we were working on out science project again, well he was. I wasn't doing much, but he was okay with it.
"I'm so glad you're my partner" I said to him.
"Why?"
"Because you're so smart, you must think I'm some kinda dummy"
"Like I said Annie, you're wonderful"
"Aww, that's nice of you to say, but you don't have to flatter me"
He gave me a look
"Trust me, I'm not"
I rolled my eyes
"You know Annie, you're smart too. Just as smart as me, maybe even smarter"
I gave a hearty laugh, then looked at his serious expression
"Oh, you're not kidding"
He shook his head
"Oh, Annie, you underestimate yourself. I know there's brain inside that pretty little head of yours" he lightly touched my face, making me shiver, unnoticeably thank goodness
"You wanna help me test the circuits?"
"Nah, I'll leave that to you"
"C'mon, it's not hard I'll show you"
I sighed "Alright"
We both knelt down, he pointed to a circuit
"Connect that, to that" he said and I obeyed, the lights turned on
"Oh, I did it!"
He smiled at me "Yes, you did Annie, you did"
I hugged him and I swear he blushed a bright red.
