~Kendall's POV~

On my way out of the house, I laid out breakfast for Raven with a note next to it.

The note read:

Dear Raven,

Good morning beautiful! I'm sorry I'm not here, I went out. Please don't follow me. The journey is much too dangerous, and I want you to be safe. If you are curious as to why I left, I'll tell you. Even though you might not like my answer. I have gone to find your brother to negotiate your fate and destiny. I know it's not my business, but you need to understand..I'm in love with you and I want to be with you forever. So let me go. Please. I'll be safe. And I promise, I'll come home safely to you. Promise.

Love, Kendall

I left the note, partially in tears, and opened the door to leave. I ran out as far as I could.

I stopped out of breath, and I sat up against a tree.

I wiped off the sweat from my forehead, sighing at what I'm doing.

Suddenly, I heard branches and leaves crack.

I stood up, took my bow in hand, and put in an arrow ready to shoot. I walked around like this for a few seconds.

Then I saw them.

Two big black dogs.

~James's POV~

I paced my room anxiously hoping the general would walk in any second with Raven holding his hand.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."

A young lady, Echo, came in. "Hey your majesty." She curtsied.

"Echo. You're my best friend, you don't have to do that." I turned to face her.

"Well I have to be polite." She smiled.

I hugged her. "I'm so happy to see you."

"I heard about your sister. And I'm sorry. That's horrible. I know they'll find her." She said.

Echo always knew what to say. It's like she had a magic touch.

"Thanks Echo." I said smiling.

~Kendall's POV~

I held my bow up, about to shoot.

One of the dogs changed into a human. "Woah easy there buddy. You don't wanna shoot us."

"Oh yeah? Why not?"

The other one changed into a human. "Because we're Raven's friends."

"H-how do you know Raven?" I let my bow slacken a bit.

"We grew up together. Now drop your weapon."

I pulled my bow back up in full force again. "Tell me your names."

"Well," the first one said, "I'm Logan, that's Carlos. Are you happy now?"

I rolled my eyes and put my bow down.

"Do you know where I can find her brother?"

They looked at each other.

Logan nodded. "Yeah, but you're gonna need some help."
