~Raven's POV~
When I awoke, I was laying on Kendall who was still sleeping.
He was covered in dry blood, but you could tell he was tough. He looked so broken. I wanted to cry but I couldn't. I didn't want Kendall to see me cry. Even though he already did the night before.
I couldn't take it anymore. I burst into spontaneous tears and cried into Kendall's chest.
"Raven? What's wrong?" Kendall woke up.
I just kept crying and didn't answer him.
"Shhh shh. It's ok." He rubbed my back until I stopped crying.
"Now what's wrong?" He asked looking me in the eye.
His eyes are so cute. I love how they just sparkle.
I kissed him softly wrapping my arms around his neck.
His arms snaked around my waist and he broke away placing his forehead on mine.
"I love you." He said.
~James's POV~
I'm starting to give up.
I've been so close to bursting into tears. My sister means the world to me. I can't just give up on her.
"General. How about you stay here and I go back to the palace, I have an important meeting with Aubree and Kane."
I really didn't but I needed an excuse to back me up.
"As you wish your highness." General Toran bowed and led his soldiers on in search of my sister.
I flew back to the palace with hot tears on my face.
I miss her so much.
~Kendall's POV~
"So," I said, "tell me everything about your life." I grabbed her hands tightly.
"Well," she started, "my parents died eight years ago. I was ten and my brother was fifteen. My parents told James, right before they died, that he was to run the kingdom until he couldn't anymore. Than they said I had to get married at age eighteen-"
I cut her off. "Married?"
She nodded. "The day I turn eighteen I have to get married to General Toran or I'll be banished from my own kingdom."
I shook my head in confusion. "But you're only eighteen."
"I know. But I have to. My parents said so."
She's leaving me. She's marrying another guy. She doesn't love me. She can't love me.
"So you're gonna leave me? After I saved your life? After I let you in my house and I took care of you?"
"Kendall no that's not-"
"It's not what! I love you Raven! You getting married ruins us being together!"
My face burned and I ran upstairs madly.
I can't stand this.
I'm searching for her brother.
