How did I accept? Why did I accept? What was I thinking? I wasn't thinking! Zion thinks as he drives home from work. What am I supposed to wear? What am I supposed to say? He gets out of the car and opens the door to the house. He steps into the living room to see Eli there. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to help you. Dante told me."
"Of course, he would know."
"You're nervous."
"You know I haven't been out with someone since." Zion shrugs his shoulder.
Eli nods. "Let's go see your wardrobe." He says enthusiastically.
"I don't have anything to wear." Zion states.
"You do realize you are more into fashion than I am and that you've dragged me to shopping sprees."
"Shut up."
"You have something to wear and we will find it."
Soon the bed is spread with different outfits that Zion has tossed aside. He doesn't agree with any of them.
"I should cancel." Zion states.
"No, you can't. You won't. You are going to go shower. I'm going to put the clothes up and you'll wear what I give you and Mike won't be able to take his eyes off you. Not that he really has when you are around." Eli says pushing Zion towards the bathroom.
"I don't need his eyes on me." Zion blushes at the last statement. He doesn't spend his time giving me all of his attention. His stomach is assaulted with butterflies as he thinks about Mike.
There is a knock on the door before he hears Eli saying he is coming in. "I have your clothes. I'm hanging them here." Eli says before he is out of the bathroom.
Zion hears muffled voices coming from the living room. He steps inside and finds his brother and his wife on the couch and Eli on the loveseat. They turn to him smiling.
"You look great! Doesn't he?" Eli asks.
They agree.
"So should we expect you back at a reasonable hour?" Sofia teases.
It makes Zion blush. "It's a date."
"Yes with Mike. If I wasn't married to your brother, I would want to date Mike."
"Sofia." Zane reprimands.
"You're the only one I love." She gives Zane a kiss.
"He does have a nice body." Eli agrees.
"Eli, stop agreeing with Sofia." Zane states.
It makes Zion release some of the nervousness he is feeling.
"So he should be here soon." Eli comments.
Just then the doorbell rings. Zion looks in the direction of the door before he looks at them all. Zane gestures to him to go open the door. Zion takes a breath before he walks towards the door. He opens it to find Mike smiling.
"Ready to go?" Mike asks. "You look great."
"Thanks." Zion replies.
"Go have fun and don't bring him back too late!" Zane says pushing Zion out the door.
Mike grabs Zion's arm in time to prevent him from falling.
Zion blushes. "Sorry."
Mike chuckles. "They wanted you out of there." He jokes.
