"So how did getting home go?" Eli asks innocently.
"Fine."
"You can't just say fine, give me details." Eli exclaims.
"You didn't ask for any and why should I?"
"You have to tell me how the rest of the night went with Mike!"
"Nothing happened. He drove me home because Zane and Sofia left me behind.""They didn't. They just didn't want to disturb you or make you leave when you were enjoying yourself."
"Did my brother tell you to tell me that?"
"It's what happened. They knew we were staying, so they left."
"What if something had had happened to me?"
"Nothing happened, besides Mike never left your side."
Zion scoffs.
"He never left you alone during the party and did you not see the glare he gave to others who were staring at you when you were dancing?"
He did? Zion asks; his heart skipping a beat. "No."
"Now you know then. So what happened on the drive home? You didn't respond after the text."
"I fell asleep." Zion states. He walked me to the door and kissed my cheek before saying goodnight.
"So why do you have a smile?"
"I'm happy."
"Why are you happy?" Eli asks.
"Because I am."
"Okay, fine don't tell me. You will eventually."
Zion shrugs.
"You're impossible."
"How are you and Dante doing?"
"Great!" Eli replies. "He asked me to move in with him."
"What did you reply?"
"That he has to ask me to marry him before I move in with him."
Zion laughs. "So did he ask you?"
"No, he said he had to plan it." Eli replies sadly. "I want to be the one to ask him though."
"Are you going to?"
Eli nods. "But what if he asks me first?"
"He would still love it if you asked him."
Eli smiles gratefully, "Will you come with me to pick out a ring? I think I know how I want to ask him."
Zion pushes back his feelings of sadness before he replies,"Sure." Zion tries to smile.
"Thank you. Can we go today?"
"Yeah, I don't have anything planned."
"Great. Hmm, should we invite Mike? He can help too."
Zion throws him a piece of his bread making Eli laugh. "I'm just joking. He is hanging out with Dante anyways."
"Maybe he is planning how to ask you tonight."
Eli grins. "I hope not."
"You could tell him that you want to ask?"
"That's not how it works."
"It works however you want it to work. It's up to each couple."
Eli nods. "Even if he asks first, I'm going to ask him too."
