Depression isn't where you're just sad. No, oh hell no. Being depressed is something way much worse than that. It's where your sad everyday and don't have motive on anything everyday, where you really don't want smile nor talk or even move an inch of your finger, and you just have a huge amount of sad thoughts everyday at every hour. It isn't where you cry a little here and there, more like all the time. And at late at night while everyone is sleeping you start to sob but quietly because you don't want people, family, or even friends to ask and begin to wonder.
This is where everything around you is like a black and white filter and foggy. You start doubting yourself more than usual. Thinking highly negative of yourself and don't feel any emotion expect sadness. Sometimes, depending on the person others are more depressed than others. It's as if you want to pull your hair and just let out muffled screams.
Depression can lead to you becoming more distant with everyone, and even lose friends. When you're depressed, you start to cry late at night about something and then start thinking about all the other bad things that happened more back in the past an d cry harder. Sometimes, we like to not admit we're actually depressed when we know we are. You sometimes start blaming everything on yourself. Your eyes become more dull, and your smile that used to be plastered becomes into a frown. Or even a thin line, maybe plaster a fake smile so people won't ask.
When you do want to cry, you hold it in until you find a place to actually break down. It sometimes, depending on the person will try to stop the tears from falling but it just will not. Thinking about the self hate and thinking that you'll never make it. Wondering sometimes, why are you still here even. But that is like a depression mixed with suicide thoughts.
People that deal with depression, some can hold it in just like a fighter and some other will just see no point in trying. And it isn't because they're weak, it was because they have no one there to even try or anything to bring them up no matter what. Or they just literally see no point trying.
When you walk in, out in the public people would think you're doing very well because how well people can mask their feelings. A smile and looking into someone eyes, you can't really tell what's going on their mind but their holding deep secrets that no one will discover. When they pretend to be fine and plaster a fake smile, they're actually screaming mentally, our mind going insane.
