Kei couldn't explain how much he loved this boy. The boy that walked his –Koushi's- dog. Tadashi Yamaguchi was the name of the boy. Every morning at nine, he would go around and collect the dogs from the neighbourhood. Problem is, Kei doesn't have a dog. This is where Koushi came in, he does own a dog, and Kei is allowed to use that dog.

With this, Kei formed a plan. He had the dog, Pancakes was her name, and took her for a walk. And you guessed it. It was at the same time Tadashi went for a walk. He followed him, but not close enough for Tadashi to realise. The two ended up bumping into each other. A small conversation started, a name exchange and the question Kei had been waiting for.

"Would you like me to walk your dog for you?"

He wasn't just cute, he was also happy and cheerful, along with being nice. He thought that you either got good looks or the nice personality, obviously not for Tadashi. He ended up walking with him, but the walk was silent. He soon went home to be greeted by a smirking Koushi.

"How'd it go, you?"

"It went fine, thank you."

He picked up the dog and shoved it into Koushi's arms.

"Be back tomorrow by nine."

That's how it went from then on. Koushi would bring his dog at around quarter to nine and Kei would let Tadashi take the dog. Every morning he got to see the cute, smiling face on him as he came for the dog. It was his favourite part of the day.

This was working perfectly until one day Tadashi had to change his time to eight. Kei was aware of this, Koushi was not, however as Kei has forgotten to text him the night before. How was he meant to explain this to the boy standing in front of him?

"I don't own the dog," Kei mumbled, but enough for Tadashi to hear.

"What do you mean you don't own the dog?"
The smile on his face turned into a confused frown.

It was time to tell the truth.

"It's my friend's dog. He comes every morning before you do so I can borrow his dog. Just to see you," the last sentence was so quiet, Tadashi almost didn't catch it.

Then he saw it, the cutest thing to ever exist. Tadashi looked down slightly, his eyes trained on Kei's feet and a blush covered his cheeks. What he looked like when he was shy.

"I, I uh, I saw you with the dog once, so I assumed it was yours... That's the only reason I did it..." His voice was soft but higher pitched than usual.

"You're not mad I lied?"

"Mad? Why would I be?! I think it's really cute."

It was Kei's turn to blush. Maybe this would work out. Maybe something would happen between them...

"Want to come in for a coffee?"

Kei moves out of the door way for the boy, who entered with a vibrant smile.

"Sounds delightful."
