chapter 6

      My brain completely left my body when I pulled his lips to mine. His lips were soft and warm..they were welcoming and thankful. When I pulled away he looked as shocked as I felt. We both set there in awkward silence until I heard an all too familiar voice. "RIZE WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE!?",Eli tackled me to the ground. God, he acts as if he's my body guard, let alone boyfriend, hell he even acts like me Dad. Pushing my bossy, nosey friend off I lock eyes with Zane, who gives me a concerned look.

       "Who's is this?", Eli eyes Zane's jacket. "Its mine", Zane held his hand out to help me up. "You okay?", he asks pulling me to my feet "Its not very nice to jump on a lady, let alone one who's hurt", Zane's eyes were fierce and from the hint of dark blue I could tell he was angry. "Well its not nice to steal someone's girl", Eli lifted his nose to the sky, feeling high-and-mighty. "She's not your girl", Zane locked eyes with Eli. "But she is...you don't know anything about her...", Elis voice got softer and softer. "That's why I want to get to know her", he winks at me.

      Elis hands settled to fists and I could tell this wouldn't be pretty. "Dude calm down, before this get dirty we'll let Rize decide who she wants to spend time with", Zane says all eyes on me.
"Uh well since I'm always with Eli...", my voice is low. "I get it", Eli Says his voice deflated and his steps heavy. He stomps to the door and leaves me and Zane alone. "So where were we?", Zane asks gazing into my eyes and watching my lips. I've never felt this lustful. Right now, I just feel so needy and incomplete. Like I'm a puzzle missing a piece and Zane's that piece.

      Instantly, I take his hand and put it on my cheek. He smiles and leans forward. Strangely, I can feel the goosebumps dancing up and down my legs and feet, but the heat from my face is so hot the cold evaporates off me, turning into heat. Leaning with him I stop just inches from his lips. Teasingly, I lick his chin. He makes a pouty face and pulls me into a kiss. The sparks between us light up my heart completing my puzzle.

       Who knew all it took was me getting kidnapped and almost killed to find my soul mate? A lump rises in my throat making something tug at my heart, I shake it off and deepen the kiss.

       When we're inside I suddenly feel very awkward. Zipping up his jacket all the way, we walk down the hall. I'm still in a thin hospital gown when he touches me. At first, I'm so surprised I almost jump. But then I just let him do it. He's gently squeezing my butt. And I have to admit it feels nice. My cheeks are red and my insecurity is off the roof.

{Elis pov

       At that moment my heart is completely shattered. What I see is even more horrifying than Rize dying. Suddenly my tears are dry and I can't control the rage building up inside me. I storm over to them like a hurricane. My first is up in the air and already its connected to his jaw. I don't care anymore. I don't care if she doesn't like me or that she never will. I don't care that I'll never be good enough, because all that matters is turning this pervert into a bloody pole.

       His lip is bleeding and he's on the ground. Rize is wide eyed in disbelief. I want to say didn't know a weakling like me could hurt someone did you? But instead I double over on Zane. I think what has just happened is finally settling in his small head. Unsteadily, he stands and lungs at me. His efforts cause me to fall. My back hits the ground with an ugly pain. But I ignore it thinking I've never been in a real fight.

"Eli I don't have time for your shit", Rize jumps back into reality. Suddenly my knuckles are white and my face is red.I 've lost all control. I don't even feel human anymore and my body moves on its own. In fact, if it weren't for Zane Rize would of had a bloody nose and.....it would of been my fault. Zane developed this inhuman strength, grabbing my hand and twisting it so hard I yelped.

       Still in pain he muttered, "don't ever try to hit a women." And with that he took my hand and swung me at the wall. Surprisingly, I didn't break the wall and Zane got in no trouble. Him and Rize just left me laying in my own blood. It wasn't a lot just you know some. I was stuck alone, leaning up against a wall panting like a dog. My only company was my thoughts.

     She left you.
For good.
She's never coming back.
You weren't good enough.
You never were.
You're pathetic.
Did you see how easy he won her over?
And you've taken a lifetime.
Get over it.
Get over her.
She's gone.

       None of them will shut up, and its tearing me apart. I can't lose her...I love her...more than anything or anyone..why can't she see that? But, then it hits me if I can't have her no one can. Since my life is practically over might as well ruin both theirs. So, instead of crying like a baby, I laugh. they'll both pay. And the cost will be their lives.
