I sat up rubble falling off my back and I turned my head looking for the gun. I felt movement underneath me causing me to ease my body up. Suri coughed and opened her eyes. She sat up with a groan but I covered her mouth as I caught the sound of footsteps. I scanned through the smoke till I found two large shapes in the distance. I grabbed Suri's arm and stood up with her. She let out a whimper of pain and I looked down to see that she had gotten cut from the explosion. The Cut was deep reached from her shoulder to her elbow.

I reached tearing my shirt with strength I didn't know that I had and used it to wrap it around her wound. I heard the loud clatter of wood falling and I pushed her towards the broken wall. As Suri Slipped through We heard "Stop." A shot was fired hitting the wall right near my head. Another hitting my arm causing me to scream but as I turned to look back. The man was dressed completely in black but on his breast were the letters C.I.A in bold white letters. He let out a growl before repeating the words and putting his hands on the trigger but before he could pull the trigger.

I heard a bark and then this shape caught him in the arm grabbing him and tearing into him. I could smell blood over the smell of burning wood and plastic of the furniture. I see his struggling form as whatever just attacked him was ripping into him. Suri grabbed my arm and I called out "Come On boy. Come On!" I saw the shape jump from the man and towards us but instead of the dog that I had taken in, there was a dog like a creature with Peacock color skin or rather scales with a pair of horns turned towards us. Its eyes were void showing no pupils just white color. It was bigger than the dog. It made a whining noise before moving to rub it's massive head against my back pushing me. It whined before growling and heading back into the smoke.

" Mizuki, Come On."

Suri gripped my arm tighter and yanked me through the broken wall and into the kitchen. I ran to the back door and pulled it open the smoke clearing. I helped Suri down the steps and towards the woods. I looked back and heard the rapid cessions of gunfire. I had to cover my ears at the sound as I watched them total what was left of my home.
Suri pulled me harder causing me to stumble as we moved towards the forest. We moved as fast as we could try to get away from the house as we knew whoever had bombed my house was going to be looking for us.

We finally had to stop in order to catch our breaths. We laid against some tree. The sun had began to set creating shades of red, purple and yellow around us. I remember the fear and anger coursing through me. It caused me to paced back and forth through the leaf brush as I looked back towards were my house was burning. It was visible where we were and I couldn't help but gripped my head pulling at black strands and screamed in anger. Now that I look back at it. I realized that the anger was becoming blood lust. I wanted to tear those people apart, get them out of what was mine. I remember racking my nails down my arm in rage and feeling a burn down my back as I thought about the ways to tear them apart.

"Mizuki."

I turned toward her and growled actually growled at her. I had actually begun to lose my self at that moment. I was starting to transform back. She pushed back against the tree and I covered my mouth.

" I-I'm...I'm so sorry."

I bent down and hugged myself. I didn't like what I was becoming nor what was happening because of it.

I wiped my face getting rid of the tears that were streaming down my face. I sniffled and stood up. " Come on, we need to get moving."

Suri nodded grabbing my hand and pulling herself to a stand. " Is your leg going to be ok?" I asked but she smiled and punched my shoulder before answering " Girl's like me. We don't go from a little leg wound." I gave her a smile and helped her walk.

We continued to walk till it was well into the night. The forest around us was quiet to quiet for my liking. I felt on edge more than ever after the fire my skin had begun to be replaced with white scales and the burning of my body was more intense. Suri had mentioned that my eyes had changed as well becoming brighter and even glowing at some points in the night. We walked for hours, only stopping to rest or check on Suri's wound. I had miraculously hadn't been to badly injured, sure I had a couple of bruises and cuts but none as big as Suri. We had to stop when I caught the most putrid smell. It hit my nose causing me to stop where I was and cover it. I felt sick to my stomach and my mind was telling me something was wrong. As soon as I had caught it I placed my hand on Suri's stomach stopped her from moving.

" What's wrong?"

" Something is wrong. It stinks like a dead body around here."

Suri put her head up and sniffed before telling me " I don't smell anything just forest and soot." I shook my head and emphasized " Something dead is around here. Something Rotting. And..." I sniffed the air again.

"Plastic? Yeah, It smells like there's plastic around here." I followed the smell. With Each step, it was increasingly stronger and horrified me to think about what possibly could have made such a hideous smell. Nothing was supposed to be around this area. Had they killed more people? But, Would they really try and cover it up in the woods not ever five miles from some houses. Suri followed sticking close to my arm. She was as curious as I was. We stopped when we caught sight of the smell. Suri let out a shout and covered her mouth while turned away. I swallowed and tried to breathe through my mouth to try and see what it was.

In front of me was the body of a human being. I couldn't tell the gender as it had been viciously attacked. The body had been completely torn apart leaving only the upper torso. The head was missing as well as part of the arm. Whoever they had been, they had been killed a savage animal. I may not have known who they were But I did know that it had once been a scientist as its coat was still on. I swallowed and bent down to pulled off the badge. As I wiped the blood off I found that the person had been working for a Company by the Name of Vitae. I pocked the badge and said a prayer for the person before I covered up the body with leaves.

If We ever got out of this mess I would try and help them find the body. No one deserves to be killed in such a manner and dumped as though they hadn't mattered. We continued moving, being much quieter and careful as we made our way through the brush. Soon, The trees began to part more and become less thick leaving only bushes.

I had begun to be hopeful, I thought maybe we could find help. I didn't know how wrong I was.
