The parasite

Chapter 9

Suri went home after that to pack extra clothes and borrow some equitmenent while I stayed home keeping the dog with me.   He seemed to like me a lot as he followed me to my bedroom where I changed into some jeans and a tank top.  I looked at my hand the scales were still there white in color and as I ran my hands over them they were smooth but of course not ;why wouldn't they.  I looked up and stared at my self and looked to see if there were any other places that held white scales but I couldn't find any.    

Was I becoming a Monster?  I felt my heart start to race and the world become smaller as I focused on the mirror but suddenly the sound of a high whine filled my ears and I looked behind me to the see the Dog on it's feet his ears back and his tail in between his legs.  I turned around and bent down and softly whispered " It's ok."   It's head rose and walked forward licking at my cheek I giggled falling on my butt and it continued to give me kisses.   I finally pushed his head back a bit and said " Alright, thank you."  It sat on it's butt and simply stared at me it's tongue hanging out of it's mouth.  

    " Your pretty well mannered for a stray."

He barked the sound a little to loud but I ignored the small bit of pain that came the bark and focused on the dog.  

" Alright, Let's see how smart you." I said sitting tall now and as though he mimicked he stood in attention as well.

" Alright, Paw."

He raised his paw and placed it into my hand and I smiled saying a good word of encouragement.

" Now, let's see something harder. Up then spin."  With my commands I motioned with my fingers and he quickly followed do each command easily.    I laughed and said " Good boy, now go get me a coke." Just to see if he was that smart.  He straightened turned his head and quickly left the room. I heard the sound of his claws against the wooden door but what amazed me was the fact that I could hear him going down stairs and into the kitchen and opening the fridge door.  I watched as he came through and in his hands was a red Coke Cola bottle.    I was in shock for a little bit but remembered to give him encouragement. " That's a good boy."  I said taking it from his mouth and placing it beside me.  

"Mizuki."  

I heard Suri's voice and the sound of walking up the steps and she kindly popped her head into the room.  " Did I just see him grab a soda from the fridge?" She asked setting her bag onto the floor. She eyed me and the dog before  shaking her head and saying " Are you Ready we got to see what's going on at the Site."   I swallowed at the mention of the word and ran my hands through my hair before nodding.  I stood up walking over to grab a pair of my sneakers and a jacket I made my way back to my Suri and nodded to her saying " Alright, Let's Go."

We got into Suri's car the thing was something she had just gotten about a month ago  as  a gift for her self.  She pulled out the driveway and as we did the dog watched with some type of anxiety and I felt the same.

I know I was scared but this fear it was different with this fear it was primal fear.  It reached deep within my heart and into my brain were my mind wanted to run fast and quickly with hast.

As we neared,  A sudden hit of terror hit me and I turned my head looking and searching around for something then I felt the impact and sound of metal then total and complete darkness.

I woke up to a pounding in my head and aching in my ribs and chest.  I gasped and coughed for air and I looked around to see Suri hanging beside me a groan escaped her lips and I could see blood leaking from the side of her head.  I bent down a small pain entering my ribs as I pushed the button releasing me from the belt and with a loud thump I landed on the roof the glass dug into my skin.

I moved over towards Suri and Cupped her cheek and shook it slightly causing her to groan again.  She opened her eyes and I could see her take a second before asking " What happened?"  I swallowed and said " I don't know but  We need to get out I'm buckling  you."   She nodded and I pushed it and moved as she toke a moment to lower her self.  I watched as she swallowed licking her lip which was cut a bit and opened the door.  She moved out and I followed and as I moved I looked back to Suri who was in frozen fear.  

I looked forward and two red eyes stared back at me.
