Defend
It was all I could think as I stared at the creature.
Defend! Defend! Defend!
It was that was floating through my brain as I pulled my body to cover over Suri's. I could hear her breathing erratic and I could hear the sound of what sounded like her heart beat.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
It was so fast, she was so scared. I was scared but those words kept going through my head and as they did I realized it wasn't me, my mind creating these words as something to do to think. These words felt like Instincts. I felt this build of uneasy and fear as well as the need to protection growing through my veins.
The red eyes stared at us watching us as though I was going to good to be true. Soon the red began to move getting closer and closer till It was inches from my face.
Dark black scaly skin a lupine like nose with dark red eyes low ears that reached to a muscle bound neck that rested with along a even muscular body that walked along four legs with legs especially the fronts filled with long sharp nails with purplish tint to them. I heard a hiss like growl causing me to tense pushing my body up against hers once again. It's dark black lips pulled back to show rows of sharp white teeth. A snake like tongue dip and flicked across my cheek and suddenly I let a growl. A low dangerous growl the kind a wolf would give to warn a person off.
Suri gripped my arm and she told me that I had started to grow scales once again though they spread reaching my shoulder.
It growled back showing me the rows of teeth that it had.
It launched at us and the next thing I new I was in the air at it's throat I could feel my nails in it's scaly skin the taste of blood as I bite into part of it's shoulder. I fell onto the grassy ground my body rolling down the hill. I felt a burn grow from my arm and along my body. I shrieked clawing at my skin and clothes. I heard the rip and pulled the clothing from my skin the cold air giving relief. I heard the shuffle of grass and leaves underneath something's feet. I snapped my teeth before letting a groan escape. I feel down to the ground the pain growing more and more along my back and my legs. I gasped for breath just as a shrill cry erupted through my lips. The burning soon ended but my body didn't have time to recover as it attacked me my body sending me slamming hard to the ground.
I shrieked as it's nails pushed deeper into my back the smell of blood floated through the air. I clawed at the ground and I could feel pain erupt as twisted it's nails into my back.
Get OFF! GET OFF!GET OFF!
The Weight was thrown off my body and I rolled onto my back. I jumped to my feet and let out a roar so fierce that it was hard for me to believe that I created such a thing. I looked up and jumped onto one of the tree trunks. I stared down watching as it gathered itself together from where it had fallen. I watched as it searched the area around it my head tilted to the side. I let out a low growl and as I lowered my body against the branch the sound of the bark breaking beneath my nails.
It shifted around looking for the sound before finally seeing me and then I couldn't remember after that. Just the darkness that grew over my head like a cloud.
