Part 12

Clint's POV

Today, has got to be the weirdest day of my life. Good thing I brought an extra quiver this time. After a few minutes the tall boy with the black hair left to go get someone that they called "Kairon", or was it "Chiron"? Hmm, whatever. Anyway, we all kind of sat around in a circle, waiting for the boy to come back. It was very awkward, with Tony's occasional effort to make a joke or something not making it any better.

"So, you guys are the actual Avengers?" One of the boys asked, his short dark brown hair had a few strands of grass still in it. "Yeah. Who else would we be?" I scoffed acting all proper, until Nat hit me in the back of the head. "Idiot" she murmured. One of the girls whispered to the others, "So, do think this is pre- Civil War? Or even pre- Winter Soldier? I mean I don't see Sam, Scott, Bucky, Peter, or T'Challa!" I didn't recognise any of those names, but apparently Steve did because he jolted upright when the mysterious names were being listed. I also saw his lips faintly form the name 'Bucky'. I'm so awesome noticing these things, maybe even better than Nat! But if I said that out loud... I'm guessing you know what would happen.

"So, how could Thor pass through this barrier here, when I can't?" Bruce commented, he was still inspecting the invisible wall thing. The girl with her nose in her book spoke up, "Un- I mean Thor could pass through it because the barrier only lets people with godly blood pass. And he is, well a god. So... I can tell you how it was put there and everything if you'd like." Her voice was quieter than everyone else's, but I heard what she was saying and what she was about to say. She was about to say 'Uncle'. It was clear everyone else understood too, but Thor just had this confused look on his face. Like that time Tony tried explaining how a car worked to him. It was a nightmare.

Eventually the book girl and Bruce were over by the barrier having their own conversation about how it worked and the history behind it. Then started geeking out about science stuff. Oh great, I already have to deal with two science geeks, now three.

"So this is what you were referring to Percy?" A figure appeared out from the shadows. It was a man in his late forties, in a wheelchair, and had a considerable beard. Wait, how do you drive a wheelchair through a forest like this? Wait, don't answer that. It's probably magic, just like every other weird thing lately.

"Yes, sir and these are the new campers Mac and Annabeth brought in as well."
