Third Person:
Madison still sat there, just staring at the pen.
'Should I use it or not?' Were her thoughts for the past five minutes. She didn't know if she wanted to use it and get in the risk of being in trouble, or not use it and get Noah in trouble. Madison got up, picked the pen up and put it in her pocket.
"It can wait until later." She said.
With the group
Madison sat in the circle barely participating in talking with the group.
"Did you decide?" Noah said, waking up to her.
"No, if I use it I get in trouble and if I don't use it you get in trouble, so now I don't know what to do!"
"It's your choice, in my opinion I think it will help you, but it's up to you."
Madison just looked away, feeling guilty. Annabeth walked over and asked if Madison wanted to read about her Loki heritage. Madison said yes almost immediately.
"So how do you know about Asgardian mythology?" Madison asked Annabeth.
"My moms Athena, so I get hooked up sometimes. But anyways I think you're going to like what you find. Loki is bad but his story is actually pretty good." Annabeth replied. Madison looked at Annabeth and immediately started thinking about the pen stashed away in her pocket. She decided to subtly ask Annabeth to see if she knew what to do in this situation.
"Hey Annabeth, if you were given a object that could do extraordinary things but it could also make you lose a friend, what would you do?"
"Woah. Urm. I would probably tell the friend that you might lose what happened. But it also depends on the object. Why do you ask?" She questioned.
"Mainly because I have been kind of down lately and I don't know why but one of my friends gave me a pen that can make a drawing come to life for an hour bu-"
"A pen that can make a drawing come to life? Madison did you get this pen out of Mackenzie's box?" Annabeth interrupted.
"NO! I mean it's complicated. See my friend found her box then found the pen and gave it to me because he thought I was super sad so he wanted to cheer me up. I've had it for like two days but I haven't used it yet because I don't want Mackenzie to not want to be my friend anymore! So I asked you what you would do and now I'm even more confused because what if she does get super mad at me and think I did it? I don't want to get Noah in trouble either so what do I do? Stick up for him and tell her I did it? Or rat him out and tell her he did it? I just need help right now and I don't know who to ask. Also, don't tell Mackenzie." Madison ranted.
"Wow. Ok so if you need help you can go to Chiron or even go up to Mount Olympus and ask the gods yourself. Or if not, you can do what YOU feel you need to do. I'm sure Mackenzie isn't going to get mad enough to not want to be your friend anymore. But the pen, you need to do something with it because if the holder has it too long, something bad happens." Annabeth said.
"Okay. Thanks Annabeth!"
"You're welcome Madi. By the way we are here."
"Um actually, I'll go talk to Mackenzie."
"That's fine, I'll let you read these anytime though." Annabeth told Madison
"Alright, thanks for all your help!"
With Mackenzie now
"Hey Mackenzie, I need to tell you something." Madison told Mackenzie.
"Ok? I'm free what's up."
"So I've been a little sad this past week and I don't know why. Noah somehow found your buried box and saw your pen. He knew what it did and thought that I'd like to use it because it might have cheered me up. But I was to scared to use it because what it you got mad and didn't want to be my friend anymore? I couldn't deal with that if you did so I went to Annabeth to ask for advice and she said to talk to Chiron or the gods in Mount Olympus but I went to talk to you instead. I don't want to not be your friend but I also don't want to get Noah in trouble. So I really hope you'll forgive me."
Mackenzie just stared at Madison, thinking about what to do.
"Do you have the pen on you?" She asked.
"Yeah, here I'll give it to you." Madison gave the pen to Mackenzie.
"Thanks." Mackenzie pulled some water up and tossed the pen into the water and froze it. She then used her powers to throw the frozen water pen into the middle of the lake.
"What did you do that for?" Madison asked
"That pen you had was a pen that I stole from the gods greatest enemy, Kronos. He would use the pen to create even more deadly creatures that would be hella deadly to us. If that pen got into the wrong hands, the end of the world is in OUR hands. So thank you for returning the pen and thanks for telling me what happened. Because you did the right thing, not that you ever do wrong, I forgive the both of you." Mackenzie finished her speech about how bad the pen is and Madison felt very relieved. Madison hugged Mackenzie then left the lake. She was heading to see what Noah, Xander, and Triston were doing so she could join.
With the group
"Hey Noah, I need to talk to you."
Noah got up and walked to the back of the pavilion.
"I see you're a bit happier today, did you use the pen?" Madison looked at Noah in disappointment.
"Noah I did not use the pen, a matter of fact, I gave it back to Mackenzie and I told her what happened. Luckily she forgave us, but I don't want something like that to ever happen again. That pen you gave me? Yeah that was a pen that could literally destroy the world. If you find something of Mackenzie's, please give it back to her because I don't want you to feel the guilt of starting world destruction." Noah looked at Madison like she told him his mom died.
"Oh God. I'm sorry Madi, next time I will totally give her stuff back to her." Noah looked genuinely sorry.
"Thanks. Now whatcha up to? And can I join?" Madison asked getting excited.
"Oh yeah we're playing Magic the Gathering. Xander is currently getting his tail beat by Triston-" *Noah looks over his head* "And does NOT look too happy about it..." All of a sudden, a red light appears above Xander's head and spears become visible on each side of his body. Triston looks up from his move to see the commotion and tries to back up. Xander was too fast and started throwing spears at Triston.
"RUN TRISTON!" Madison screams.
"TRISTON IF YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN THAT YOU BEAT XANDER, RUN!" Noah yelled. Triston started running the opposite way while Noah ran to get the rest of the campers. Madison stayed and tried to think of a way to get Xander to calm down. Then she thought that if she used her magic once, why not again? She walked up to Xander and stood in his path. She then started to focus on a calm Xander. It didn't work. She tried again, but this time she tried to project it from her imagination. Xander blinked and calmed down.
"IT WORKED?!" Madison said in glee. Triston ran up to her, out of breath, and started patting her back.
"Good...... job...... Madi........ amazing........ tired....... buhbye" he than ran off in the direction of his cabin. Mackenzie and Noah ran up in time to see Madison fall on the ground.
"MADISON!" Noah ran to Madison and tried to shake her awake. He failed. Mackenzie tried to check for a steady pulse, or even one at all, and found a slight heartbeat.
"Oh thank the gods she's alive."
Noah picked her up and started to run to the infirmary to get Will to see what's wrong with her. They arrived and Noah gently laid her on one of the fresh cots.
"Will Solace! We have an emergency!" Mackenzie yelled.
"Coming Mackenzie!" Was his reply.
Once Will got over to the cot Madison was laying on, he felt her chest and stomach.
"She has a minor concussion and severe dehydration. She also just fainted after calming Xander down. And yes I saw what happened, you should be very proud of the newbie, she did amazing out there. Especially under that pressure. She just needs some rest and nectar and she'll be fine." Will said with a bright smile on his face.
"Oh and tell Nico I said I'm waiting for his end of the deal." Will then walked off with a bright aura surrounding him.
"So she can go right?" Noah yelled.
"She's fine to go yeah!" Will yelled back.
Noah then picked her up again and carried her to Mackenzie's cabin.
"I'll take care of her until she's up and adam so you can go Noah. And thanks for carrying her." Mackenzie told him.
Noah sulked away from the big cabin dedicated to Poseidon and ran into Nico.
"Hey Nico, Will told me to tell you he's waiting for you to do your part of the deal." Noah then ran off.
In Mackenzie's cabin
"Where am I?" Madison asked getting up. Mackenzie was in the corner polishing her dads trident.
"After your outstanding performance with. Xander, you passed out and Noah took you to the infirmary. You ended up having a minor concussion and severe dehydration. So make sure you drink a lot of water." Madison nodded her head and said thanks. She walked out of Mackenzie's cabin and walked to her own. Noah was waiting on her bed with a frown on his face.
"Noah what's wrong?" Madi asked.
"Nothing I was just waiting for you to get back and also hoping you were okay."
"I'm fine and thanks for doing what you did. I appreciate it a lot." Madison looked at Noah directly when she said that.
"Okay and you're welcome!" Noah walked out of her cabin and to his.
"Mkay. I'm tired." Madison said. She went to her bed and fell asleep.
