3rd Person POV

"So, that's how I spent my Spring Break." Mackenzie remarked, closing her ridiculous story. She sighed and leaned back in her desk. Mackenzie was surrounded by her close group of friends, Madison, Triston, Noah, Xander, and Alicyn. (sorry if I spelled that wrong) They had been friends for almost a year by now, since Mackenzie moved to Commerce Middle. It was a small school, in a small town. "Yeah, like that really happened. Even though I've never been to New York, I'm pretty sure Iron man and the Avengers are still fictional characters." Noah retorted not believing her at all. Noah straightened his Deadpool shirt, he'd recently received as a Christmas present, and sat on the desk Mackenzie was sitting in. "I know you like Percy Jackson and wish you were the daughter of Posidon, but people can't just create a 'giant tidal wave large enough to destroy NYC'. It's just not scientifically possible." Madison pitched in. She was trying to explain and add to what Noah said, but it was hard to take her seriously in her animated 'danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil' shirt and flower crown. Madison was the inbetween person who helped both sides of an argument, always able to contradict the opposing statement. Even though she was the quietest of the group. Mackenzie knew the others would not believe a single word of her story, even though it was secretly true. "Attention teachers: 7th grade may now proceed to the gym." The intercom sounded unexpectedly. 'About time for Annabeth to get here, it's already 10:30 (am)' Mackenzie thought to herself standing up and following everyone out the door. She had planned that Annabeth would pick up the six of them and take them to Camp Half Blood. She wanted to take them all to camp since Madison had recently turned 13 earlier this month and Xander was the only one not 13. About five minutes later, everyone was all seated in the gym bleachers. "Hello 7th grade!" The principal, Mr. Ruma, greeted the teenagers. "HELLO MR. RUMA!" the whole 7th grade returned his greeting. "Ok, I've gathered you all because I have a great man here today to talk to you," He spoke in a calm tone that greeted everyone. "and his name is Rick Riordan!" Everyone cheered and clapped for the special guest before them. "Thank you. Thank you. As many of you know, I am the author of the books and book series 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, The Heroes of Olympus, and Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer.' I am here to talk to you about ima-" He was interrupted by a giant golden chariot crashing into the gym. Everyone was panicking and running for their lives. Mackenzie quickly grabbed everyone and ran towards the strange chariot. As they ran across the gym floor avoiding the giant horde of panicking teenagers, Rick looked up at the crash landed chariot. "Annabeth? B-but your a fictional cha-character." He gasped not believing his eyes. The six ran past the award winning author, everyone stared in awe for a moment until Mackenzie quickly tugged on them to move forward. They boarded the chariot. "What took so long?" Mackenzie asked the girl that was holding the reigns of the Pegasus driving the chariot. She was older than the others, with curly blonde hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a bead necklace, a orange shirt that read 'CHB', jeans, and sneakers. "Well, Will and the Apollo cabin made me promise not to break the Sun chariot again." She explained quickly while now driving the flying chariot away from the school. "Mac, I think I'm starting to believe you story now!" Madison said, trying to make sure her 'hipster' style glasses and flower crown do not get blown away by the wind. The seven of them rode on in the chariot, five of them not knowing where they were going.
