“Beverley! Wake up sweetheart, its Monday, time for school!"
My tired eyes slowly crept open, listening to my dad's voice ring through the hallway.
"Coming dad!" I replied, as loud as my voice was willing to go at six in the morning.
I sat up in my bed slowly so I wouldn't get dizzy. Monday's were always the worst day of the week for any high school student, particularly in grade twelve, like myself.
I pushed myself off my bed and onto the warm carpeted floor in my bright blue bedroom. I had a single bed, with a plain blue sheet overtop. My bookshelves covered the walls, as well as my desk covered in papers, textbooks and pencils.
I opened up my bedroom door and was greeted with a cool breeze, and a smell of...pancakes?
I sped up my walking pace and skipped every second step down into my kitchen, arriving to see dad placing plates filled with pancakes onto the table.
"Pancakes!" I exclaimed, slipping into my seat at the table.
Dad jumped, almost dropping the pan onto the floor.
"Beverley! I never hear you come downstairs! You almost gave me a heart attack!" Dad laughed, holding his hand across his heart.
"Sorry dad." I apologized, stuffing my mouth with pancakes.
People always say I'm quiet on my feet, always unheard, silent, like I'm walking on air. My friends and dad always make a comment at least once a day, which becomes merely annoying.
I thanked dad for the pancakes, and practically threw my plate into the sink, once again, scaring him.
My bathroom was cream coloured, with all the basic necessities. For my whole life, I had always tied my hair back into a ponytail with a blue elastic. Throughout the day, strands of hair would always fall out, and I always tucked them behind my ears. I stared into my reflection in the mirror, my strong hazel eyes stared back. I took in my appearance as I pulled a brush through my long brown hair. I took im my full lips, glowing cheeks, and sculpted figure.
I twisted my fingers around the elastic and my hair, and my phone went off. I pulled my low ponytail tight and jogged around the corner into my bedroom, seeing my white Iphone had lit up on my desk.

I didn't bother replying, since she would know that I had seen it.
I spilled my books into my bag that rested alongside the wall beside the desk, zipping it up. Before going back downstairs, I verified my outfit in my full-length mirror. I had on a baggy brown sweater overtop my black and white patterned leggings. My outfit didn't feel complete, so I decided on a light blue infinity scarf would show my personality and keep me warm on this cool fall day.
Confident in my outfit, I swung my bag across my back and picked up my phone, closing my bedroom door for the day. At the front door, I pulled on my knee-high black boots that had 2 inches of heel on the bottom.
"Bye dad! Ariana is here!" I said as I peered out the window, watching a red car pull into the driveway.
My dad walked into the front hallway, arms opened wide for a hug.
