My dress was scrunched up in my sweaty palms as I stumble almost blindly through the deep, black forest with my friends around me. I can only see faint glows through the dense and gloomy leaves. I can smell the water from the nearby river, my nostrils are filled with damp. I can smell the muggy earth that squelches as I tread heavily on it, with my high heels digging deep holes with every long and powerful stride I take. I run cautiously and am afraid of the many spooky and mysterious noises that come from all directions, surrounding me in curiosity.
Suddenly something big and dark flaps across my path startling me into shock and almost fear. I find that it is an owl, which now sits on a high branch, cooing loudly as if to warn others of my sudden presence in this wilderness. It looks at me with its piercingly bright yellow eyes. I resume my pace, trying to catch up with my girls.
" Scarlett?!" All of us take turns sreaming out her name, trying to locate her.
Adreneline was pumping ferociously through my veins, I was determined to find her, as her life depended on it.
It felt like we had been running for hours, my vision was getting blurred and my head was pounding.
" I can't run anymore guys, I might fall over!" I shouted to the girls who were ahead of me.
" Oh right, you aren't feeling good, everyone let's walk now." Ariana noticed my struggle and slowed down beside me. All of us were panting, slowly running low on strength.
" Where could she possibly be? We've been searching for hours and the only thing we have done is got lost and dirty!" Camilla excalimed in frusteration.
" What if we can't find her? What if she got abducted and we never see her again!? I wouldn' t be able to handle it, what are we going to do!?" Rebekah started tearing up, freaking the rest of the girls out.
" Get it together girls, we heard her, she shouldn't be too far away, besides, there is 5 of us, as long as we stick together we will be fine." Accalia shouted, making everyone silent, forcing us to listen to her.
" She's right, all we can do is continue at this pace and make sure I don't faint from sickness." I said, trying to slow down everyone from speed walking.
Minutes past of silence, I started shivering becuase it was getting late and the wind started picking up.
" Does anyone get cell phone reception?" Ariana asked, holding her phone up to the dark, and cloudy night sky.
We all unlocked our phones, checking our cellphone reception.
" Hey, I have 3 bars, I'll call my dad!" I cheered, all the girls put away their phones as I dialed my home.
The phone rang, rang, and rang again.
" Come on dad, pick up..." I groaned to myself, tapping my foot.
" Beverley?" My dad's familiar voice rang through the phone.
" Dad! I'm lost in a forest with the girls, we are looking for Scarlett, she is gone."
" Bev, listen to me. You have to get out of there, leave Scarlett, get the girls out of that forest as fast as you possibly can, do you understand me?" Said my dad, sternly.
" Yeah dad we are gonna come home soon, don't worry, why are you so urgent?"
" Stick together, protect eachother okay? There's a few things I haven't been completely honest about...But that's not something we need to discuss right now."
" You're lying to me? Dad, what the hell!" I yelled.
" Keep your voice down young lady, you are too young to understand, now get home."
" But dad-" I was cut off by a huge gust of wind, blowing my phone right out of my hand.
" Oh Dad wait I dropped my phone!" I rushed to my phone that was lying face down on the grass.
" HELP!"
I heard Scarlett scream from nearby, causing all of us to scream back.
" Scarlett!?" We all ran in the direction of her voice, leaving my phone on the grass with my dad still on the line.
My adreneline instantly kicked back up, pumping faster then ever.
" Scar keep talking to us! Where are you?" Shouted Accalia.
" I'M OVER HERE, HURRY UP!"
Scarlett's voice was getting closer and closer.
" We are close Scarlett, hold on!" I yelled ahead of us.
Only 30 seconds later, we arrived upon Scarlett's limp body curled up on the grass.
" SCARLETT!!" We screamed and rushed around her.
I fell to her side, checking for a pulse, heart beat, or any sign of life.
" Nothing guys, nothing!" I started freaking out. What had happen to Scarlett in that 30 seconds that we weren't talking?
" Uhm guys, you might want to see this." Camilla said from behind me.
" What now Cam?" I spun around like the rest of the girls, Camilla was standing holding a crispy red apple with a single bite taken out of it.
" No way." Rebekah gasped.
" This can't possibly be happening." groaned Ariana.
" She ate an apple, just like Snow White, who she is currently dressed as." nodded Accalia.
" What the heck how can this be happening? Who did this to her?" I asked.
Before anyone could try to answer my impossible question, something dark blue started swirling in front of us.
" Now what is this!?" Yelled Accalia, pointing at the blue cloud infront of my eyes.
" At the rate our night is going, I bet it is a portal or something crazy like that." I joked, even though it was far from a joke.
Suddenly I noticed the grass around us was starting to get pulled towards the swirling blue cloud.
" Oh my gosh, come on!" Yelled Ariana, trying to stand up, but the pull of the cloud was getting too strong, and I started digging my nails into the dirt.
" Hold on everyone!"
We were all too busy holding ourselves down that we forgot about Scarlett, and her body got lifted and sucked into the cloud, which I am now guessing is a portal.
" Scarlett no!" Camilla yelled, throwing her hands up in fear.
" Cam put you hands back down!" I yelled at her, but before she could, she too was sucked into the portal.
" What are we going to do?" Screamed Rebekah.
" We have to go after them!" Yelled Accalia.
" But what if it's dangerous?!" I yelled.
" It's a risk we will have to take, we have to get them back and home safely!" Accalia said.
I sat quietly thinking, we have to get them back. But what if we land in a dangerous place? But my dad seemed pretty urgent about all 6 of us sticking together, and I am currently only sitting with 4 of them.
" Fine, let's all hold hands and count to three." I agreed.
We all slowly shifted right in front of the portal, to my left was Ariana who was holding Accalia who was holding Rebekah.
"One!" Ariana shouted.
" Two!" Accalia shouted.
" Three!" I screamed, and we all let go of the ground around us as we got sucked into the everlasting world of the unknown.
