We start to walk home, and it poor's down on us. "Shit!" I yell as we walk faster. "Here," I give her my jacket. "Thanks!" She yells as she runs in front of me. "Who gets home first!" I run after her. My hair being covered with my hands. "Cmon slow poke!" She looks back running faster. "Haha I am trying!" I finally catch up to her. "Kai.." She looks at me as we are standing in the looting rain. "Yes?" I ask as she grabs my hands. "I love you," she says. I kiss her as the rain slows down. "We need to get home." I say. "Okay let's go," she grabs my hand as we walk to her house.
We make it home. "Home we are," she gives me a devilish grin. "What?" I ask turning the t.v on. She shuts it off. "We never finished," she says looking at me. "Finish what?" I ask. "When we were at the nurses office," she says laying in my lap. "Oh that," I chuckle. "Yea that," she copied my chuckle. "So can we finish," she says turning to face me. "Okay," I laugh. She kisses me lightly as she takes off her shirt. I take off my shirt. "I love your tummy," she says. I laugh. "Tummy?" I ask as she rubs it. "Yea tummy, it is your tummy because yours is too cute to be a stomach," she laughs. "Okay okay," I say kissing her.
After we finished. Maddi fell asleep on the couch. I was sitting with her head in my lap. I scroll on Instagram. I hear the door open. "Oh hi Kai, you look different I love the green." She doesn't notice Maddi. "Oh, Maddi fell asleep didn't she," she looks at Maddi. "Did you two have fun?" She gives me a wink. "Oh, yea," I said looking up from my phone. She looked like she had been drinking. "Mrs. Black, have you been drinking?" I ask. "Please call me Emma, and no," she says walking over to the kitchen and grabs a bottle of wine. "Are you sure?" I ask. "Do you want a glass?" She asks. "Uh," I don't drink. "I'll get you one for you and Maddi." She says grabbing two glasses. "O, okay," I don't fight back. "Maddi!" She yells. "Ugh, what mom?" She yells back tired. "I am pouring you and kai some wine," she says. "Whatever," she says burying her face into my chest. "Babe," she whispers. "Yea?" I whisper back. "Can you lay down so I can lay with you?" She asks. "Sure," I smile as I shift my body so I am laying down. "Thanks," she says biting my neck. "Here you two go, I am off to my bedroom, bye," she says setting down the glass and walking away. "What are you doing?" I ask as Maddi gets up. "Getting something," she walks into the kitchen and comes back with salt, rum, and something else. "What?" I ask. "Shots," she says. She sets it all down and grabs two shot glasses.
It gets later and we get drunk. "Wanna f-fuck?" She asks hiccuping. "Sure," I say as my phone rings. "After I pick this up okay," "okay I will be upstairs," she says.
(IN CALL)
"kai?" I hear a familiar voice ask. "What up duuude," I say slurring my words. "Are you drinking?" He asks. "No, hey I really wanna have sex with Maddi, so what is it," I say slurring my words even more. "Well Alex wanted to know if you would come to game night with us tomorrow?" He asks. "Yea sure, gotta go, bye," I hang up.
(OUT OF CALL)
"I am ready!" I hear her yell. "Okay," I say as I run upstairs after her. I walk in and I can't find her a anywhere. "Maddi?" I look in farther. "In here," she waves her hand out if the bathroom door. "I uh, something happened with my mom," she says wiping her eyes. "What happened?" I ask holding my arms out to hold her. She starts crying in my arms. "She left when I was in here and you were on the phone. Kai, my mom is dead, she got into a horrible car crash and she ran into the middle of the road and died," she blurts out crying harder in my eyes. I hold her head. "Shhh." She cries.
