We stood in line at the ticket booth to enter Yankee stadium. So not to stand out in the crowd, we had been given a nice hot shower and clean clothes with the Yankee logo and random players numbers. I guess they were famous, but I had never heard of them as I had more of an interest in expensive art than the great American pastime.

Payton nervously adjusted her ponytail and kicked her feet around. I fixed my baseball hat low on my head and elbowed Hanna.

"Excited?" I asked.

Instead she just looked sick. Her face was a very nice shade of green. She wiggled and bounced as she replied.

"I guess, you know this isn't really my thing but Harry just insisted it would be fun," Hanna said.

I laughed. Our covers, in case anyone asked, was a triple date. Mr Hunter had matched us up and given us individual tasks to accomplish as a couple.

Hanna and Harry would remain in their seats for crowd control. Their job was to analyze others to see if anyone in the stands had the bomb on them or knew where it could be hidden.

Cody and Payton were to visit souvenir shops and bathrooms. If possible they should covertly enter personnel only zones and check for the bomb there.

Andrew and I had food stands and walking areas. We had both scored high marks on defusing IED's and bombs so we had to be able to get to wherever the other two teams were in case they were the ones to locate the bomb first.

Andrew threw his arm around me and whispered in my ear "Start looking now Parker, our intelligence says the bomb was not on the premises as of 8:00 this morning."

I smiled like he had just said something cute. "What do you think I've been doing?" I replied, "I've been doing jobs for some time now."

Andrew grimaced and looked like he was trying really hard to bite his tongue. Finally he dropped his arm and stepped forward in line.

No one else talked until we were in the stadium and seated in our seats.

"Such a pretty day for chaos and mayhem," muttered Cody as he helped Payton get settled.

"Our first mission and they send us to Yankee stadium with thousands of lives hanging in the balance," said a very pale Harry.

Payton rolled her eyes. "Chill out guys. If you get to psyched out that we're gonna fail then we will fail. And then you know. Blow up."

She stood up and offered her hand to Cody. "Now come on. Let's start looking for a cute ass shirt."

Cody didn't look any less nervous as he followed Payton below the stands. Harry and Hanna exchanged a look before they huddled close together and started checking out the people around us.

Hanna fixed her fake glasses. They were a gadget Mr Hunter had given us. The glasses, when activated, could be used like a magnifying glass or binoculars. As for Harry he had in two different ear pieces. One was standard, the one our team would use to communicate with each other. The other Harry could use to tap into phone calls and other communication devices and listen to the conversations taking place.

"Sorry about earlier," I said to Andrew. "I didn't mean to come off as rude. I mean, I know you're the leader and I should respect that more."

Not going to lie, I had been super angry when Mr Hunter gave Andrew the role. I called rigged, but it wasn't until we were at the stadium that I realized why I hadn't gotten it. I wasn't a team player. I just assumed everyone knew the plan without having to explain.

But Andrew didn't. He had been given each of us small instructions since we landed. He was perfect for the job.

"Hey, Parker it's okay. You have all the qualities to make a good spy, and I know after this you'll strike out solo- it's just who you are. And I forgot about that, I shouldn't have been condescending."

I smiled. "Well" I said in a more projected voice, "I'm thirsty, how about we hit the refreshments?"

"Okay," he replied. "Harry, Hanna, want anything?"

They shook their heads no.

Andrew smirked and we headed out.

The game is afoot.
