The only two things we could hear. Well the only two things I can here at the moment. Four. Only four shattered teenagers waiting to give our stories to John and Detective Deadbeat (Scott's father.) John might find out how it actually happened, but the fabricating wasn't really easy to do. It was tragic. How can you replace a tragedy with a lie?
It's hard. But Chris told us what to do. And we did it. Each and everyone of us. It just doesn't relieve the pain everyone's feeling. And it never will. No matter how many times we repeat it to ourselves. Nothing can outlive the truth. She's really gone.

"Josie, look at me. Look at me, Josie. You have to remember. You and Scott called me first, okay? Say it. You and Scott called me first."
I breathed heavily, still trying to process everything, "Scott and I called you first."
"Not you." He told me. "Say Mr.Argent or her dad."
I still don't understand how he's able to do this. His only daughter just died, and I've haven't seen him shed a single tear.
I listened, "I called Mr. Argent first."
"What else? What happened?" He asked.
I wiped a tear from my cheek, "There were two of them."
"Mmm-hmm." Argent murmured.
I started panting again, "They tried to steal our car..They-They-They wore masks. One- One of- One of them had a knife."
"You think." He corrected me. "Don't get specific, Josie. You saw something sharp. Maybe metallic. You think it was a knife. Now what do you say next? If you ever get confused, what do you always repeat?"
I panted once more and my stuttering never left, "Uh-Uh. I-I don't know. Uh. It-It happened so fast."
"That's right. He said sternly. "Say it again." However, I kept quiet. My body started shaking and the images of her body laying in Scott's arms flooded through my head. He lightly grunted and made me look in his blue irises again, "Josie! Say it again."
