Choosing to stay home while so much already was being done regarding the upcoming aftermath of the death obviously wasn't really a good idea but some research and experiments had to be completed. And I was the one putting in hours, maybe possibly a few days into figuring out my abilities. I wasn't gonna stop, I had to at least understand three more. Well if there was three more...

"Shit!" I whispered while a few books fell on the floor. Come on Jos, you got this. Just concentrate. You'll get it this time. I placed my palm back up in air, pointing near the direction where my books were placed and took a few breathes to relax myself. Clearing my mind had taken me about three minutes and I left my brain to focus was getting the books to float.

Up!

Up!

Up!

Once I began to feel something, I opened my eyes slowly. And there they were! My books were floating in the air like they were hooked up to some invisible strings. I did it!

"This is incredible..." I said, smiling proudly at myself, "This is incredible..."

🌙

Bzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I jumped as I started patting my bed for my phone, still half asleep and answered it, "This is Josie on Josie's phone."

"Heyyyy." Stiles said in a quite lively but smooth tone on the other end.

I think I may have blushed a little, I tried my best to hide it, "Hiii, what's up?"

"Nothing much really. Do you think you'll be able to come over?...like now?" He inquired.

I took a moment to glance at my phone for the time before putting it back to my ear, "Arent you suppose to be helping Malia tonight?" Trust me, my first response to going over to his house will always be a "yes." That response will never change. However, we just got Malia back and she needs all the help she can get with everything. I promised her that we wouldn't. And I never break my promises, they're important to me. I also don't know how long I've been cooped up in my rooms while trying to be Carrie and Matilda.

"Yeah...but she's with my dad getting pizza and something came to me." He said, sounding cheerier than ever. "Like wouldn't it be so much better if my girlfriend was here with me. And we had movies to watch and a nice dinner..."

Is this what I think it sounds like???

"Stiles, are you asking me out on a date?" I inquired, in a whispery voice.

He let out a very tiny chuckle, "You should come and find out."

🌙

My failure of not being a total anxiety driven wreck totally set it's own bar throughly. I couldn't even get into his house correctly. I dropped my key while trying to open the door several times- I could feel every slam of my heart against my chest while it only became more rapid. And my unconscious use of stumbling was finally taking proper steps in the house was truly something else.
