                                        Erik's POV

The next few months went by fast. I got enrolled in school and me and Javen went on dates and held hands. We didn't kiss yet though. No moment felt right but I love spending the moments with him.
One night I realized it was my birthday the next day, November 22. I told Javen but I said I didn't want him to spend any money on me whatsoever. He did anyway. And he gave me a great birthday present.
     He contacted my mother.

                               Javen's POV

I wanted to get Erik something he would never forget. I knew he hadn't seen his mother in years and I knew he wanted closure. You could see it in his eyes. So I contacted her agent. Apparently she was an actor now and lived in Australia, very far from America. So we got plane tickets to go visit her. It would just be me and him, not even my mom or dad was going.
Even though I was sixteen my mom trusted me well enough, it was her idea anyway. I was so excited!

Erik's POV

A few days after that we were all packed with the small amount of clothes I had. Javen's mother had kindly went and bought me a bunch of new clothes and shoes, I was so grateful.
Our plane left at 7:00am. We were all ready to leave. Javen said his last goodbyes, until we come back, to his mom and we walked out the door.
The airport was loud. Planes flying overhead even when we arrived in the back of a taxi cab. Inside thousands of people and voices lingered in the air. All the walls were plain white. To the right there was a Starbucks and a McDonalds.
I was hungry and we still had a little time before the plane took off. Javen and I decided to go to both, McDonalds first, Starbucks second.
From McDonalds I ordered a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and Javen got pancakes and sausage. We then walked to Starbucks.
It was way more crowded than McDonalds. The smell of coffee and smoothies wafted through the air. Noises from the blenders and coffee makers buzzed behind the counter. We ordered our food and sat down at a quite two person table in the corner of the room.
Javen: So, are you excited to go to Australia?
Erik: Yes, very, but what if my mom doesn't like me?
Javen: Well, we will leave and you'll never have to talk to her again.
Erik: I guess, then she can get a taste of how it feels when someone leaves you.
Javen: Don't think too harshly about it and be angry right when you see her. I wanted this to be a happy moment for you, for your birthday.
Erik: I blushed. Yeah, thanks by the way, for letting me come with you and paying for my plane ticket.
     Javen: Your welcome. He smiled.

This chapter was super short but I had to publish it quick since I haven't written in soooo long. Sorry about that by the way. Hope you enjoy the rest anyway. 👍
