                                 Erik's POV

A happy waitress in a red dress marched over to our table carrying a tray containing our food. "Thanks for eating at McDonalds this morning, have a good rest of the day!" she said with way to much enthusiasm for where she worked at. She stood there for a second staring and smiling at Javen. I got jealous but I figured she was just trying to be friendly. "Thank you." I said smiling, urging her to leave us alone.
She walked off but then turned back around. She sat in seat where Javen was sitting and scooted him over. She turned to look at him. "So," she said, " How about you give me your number and we can hang out at my place later?"
By this time I was furious. Javen gave me a knowing look and began to speak. "I'm sorry, but I have a boyfriend," he said while pointing to me. I blushed.
"Eww gross, your gay, go kill yourselves!" She exclaimed and walked off like she had accomplished something. We left the restaurant due to bad service and began to walk to the plane we were to board.
     Javen: Bursts out laughing.
     Erik: What?
Javen: Its hilarious how rude people are.
Erik: She probably was just having a bad day.
Javen: Yeah I suppose so, hopefully she can get a better attitude though and stop flirting with customers and then screaming at them.
     Erik: True.
Erik and Javen: Both bursts out laughing.

                                  Javen POV

The time for us to make it to the plane was dwindling down. It got so bad me and Erik ran through the whole airport just to get there. The plane gates hadn't opened up just yet so we took a seat at the in uncomfortable chairs lined against the back wall looking out over the runways. I turned sideways and laid my leg onto the side of the chair to face Erik.
Erik: I'm suddenly really scared.
Javen: It's ok, I know planes are scary but you have to trust me. I glanced at the ground in embarrassment of how cheesy that just sounded.
Erik: No, not because of the plane, because of my mom. She probably won't want to see me or anything. I was a disgrace to my family and I don't deserve to see her.
Javen: You shouldn't let her push you around like that! It's her own fault. It's not like she can change you.
Erik: I just hope she'll put the past behind her and move on.
Javen: Me too.
"Attention Attention, flight 234 is now boarding," blared the intercom attached to the ceiling. That was us. We quickly grabbed our stuff and walked up to our line to get our tickets checked.
They took them and we boarded the plane.
Erik and Javen: I hope we get to sit next to each other. We smiled together.
Sadly we didn't. Erik sat three seats behind me. Luckily I had gotten a seemingly nice older lady sitting next to me. Erik looked like he got the worst seat on the plane. He sat next to a mother with a very small child who was already screaming at the top of his lungs.
I packed light so I could pack all my luggage into the overhead compartment. I got situated and buckled up as we began to take off. The view from the window was amazing. All the pastures below looked like small little blocks like the children's game Minecraft.

                                  Erik's POV

Javen has to sit three seats in front of me with a nice older woman and I have to deal with a stupid screaming child. Luckily halfway through the ride the child fell to sleep.
The woman holding the child took up all the extra space leftover in the gap of the middle seat. I tried to attempt to make small talk to make the time go by but she quickly responded with few words and didn't elaborate.
Instead I just gave up and put on a movie.

                                   Javen's POV

At first the older woman just sat and I guess listened to music. She did this for about half a hour and then snatched her earbuds out of her ears very quickly. She turned to me, by this time I was frightened.
Woman: Hello, my name is Susan. She said holding out her right hand in anticipation for me to shake it.
Javen: Oh hi, I replied while shaking her hand. They were rough and scaly showing the signs of being old.
Woman: So, young man, your eyes are all sparkly giving me a sense your in love, but your hands are showing me you're tense.
Javen: Well I'm not to fond of heights and I wouldn't say I was completely in love.
Woman: Oh yes sweetie your falling hard. You keep turning around to look at him. He is very handsome.
Javen: I chuckle. How do you know all this stuff just from looking at me?
Woman: Oh it's my side job. I work at a bakery during the day and I'm a sidekick on the side. She then winked.
Javen: Oh that's really cool.
Woman: Well I can switch seats with him if you want me too.
Javen: Oh if course not, it's too much trouble.
Woman: It's fine sweetie. She said smiling.
She got up and grabbed her stuff out of the overhead compartment. I watched as she walked down the isle toward Erik. She talked to him for a second and he shook his head profusely and gave her a hug.
He then got up and got his stuff and walked back up the isle to the old seat of the woman.
She was gone before she had even arrived.
I mouthed thank you and she mouthed your welcome back and winked. I would have loved to have gotten to know her better. Maybe I can get her number when we land.
