after I got home, I saw Charlotte wasn't there anymore so I just went up to my room. trying to forget the awful memory of my childhood.

I'm really not trying to be rude at all. its just that I don't want to be there. I want to tell ray so he won't think I'm being a jerk or anything. its just that he won't understand. I wanted to ask piper about it without her knowing what I was really talking about.

I was walking to my room when I heard piper from her room. she was yelling and screaming. I stopped by her room and put my ear against the door. once it quiet down, I slightly knocked on the door. she usually gets upset alot but not this upset.

I didn't get a respond the first time so I knocked again and quietly said her name.
she responded with
"go away!!!" I slightly rolled my eyes but I'm still curious.
"what's wrong?" I asked through the closed door. silence took over.
"open the door!!" I yelled banging on the door again. it took a couple of seconds before she opened, but when she did, her eyes were red and tear stains were down her cheeks. I new it was something serious this time.
"I don't want to talk to you!" she sobbed as she walked back to her bed and sat down.

"yes you do...." I said sitting down next to her. she looked up at me With more tears coming out.

"for the last time, what's wrong??" I asked now getting annoyed.
"FIND!!" she yelled.
"I was going to the the holiday dance with my boyfriend but he broke up with me over text. ok?? your happy now??" she yelled with frustration and sorrow in her voice. I was REALLY shocked. I NEVER new she had a boyfriend in the first place which makes me curious.

"your...your boyfriend??" I asked as piper nodded slightly. suddenly I felt really mad at her.
"do you have a picture?" I asked nervously. she slowly nodded and took out her phone to show me on  Instagram, the picture of her ex boyfriend. I just couldn't believe my eyes, this whole time she was dated that jerk who lives down the street from us. he dresses all in black and has piercings. one time, he was throwing a party and the nabors had to call the cops. it was out of control.

"h...him??" I asked shocked.
"yes now don't remind me!!" she said between sobbs. I honestly didn't know what to do. this never happened before, I just don't know how to act.

she had her head down.
"look...I know that um...this was your first break up, and it could be hard.....I know it is..." I whispered the last part. making piper looked up with wide eyes. I had alot if girlfriends and I always got dump and it was hard. I just went right out there and say it. "maybe...your better off without him...he's an idiot for what he did, and if he doesn't notice it then well....hes a bigger idiot then I thought." I said to make the conversation less serious and awkward. I made piper laugh a little and I did too. then it was silent again. I put my hand on her shoulders, then awkwardly started to get up and walk out.

"wait!" piper yelled making me turn around. I found piper with her arms around me for a little while. I didn't know what to do. she must of been really hurt, so hurt that she was desperate for a hug, even from me. I awkwardly put my arms around her as well.

"your..your a good big brother!" she sobbed. it hurt me to see her cry, so I said..
"and your a GREAT younger sister!" I said. which made her grin which felt good.

I saw my mom walk in with a laundry basket in her hands.
"aww!! this is so sweet!" my mom said stopping at us, which made us look over. sometimes its nice to have a little sister...

hey guys!! sorry this chapter is pretty boring, but I noticed I never really do any cute sibling moments. next chapter will get back into the real part of the story.
btw, in this story, as you can tell, piper is a little older, I would say around 13 and henry is 16. I don't want to make her to old since shes supposed to be the little kid in this book. so anyway, thanks for reading.
