chapter 10

rays p.o.v

once I got down to the orphanage, it was all suddle, thank god that the villains aren't there yet.
"captain man? what are you doing here?" a women at the counter asked. when I was about to answer, a large aero strike the wall. I heard screaming from some of the children and counselors.

I shot back and noticed that they have arrived.
it was dr. maniac, the timejerker, drex, the toddler and drillfinger all standing by the door glaring at me. I was standing in a fighting stance.

they laughed evily as dr. maniac slowly stepped foward. I got out a portable stun gun and aimed it at the villains. almost immediately, it got whacked out of my hand and across the room. everyone backed up against the wall in the back in fear.

as I looked at them, I got smacked across the face making me stumble on the floor. I was looking up at him now that he had a REAL, DEADLY gun in his hands aimed my way.
"say your goodbyes captain man!" dr. maniac said evily.
I thought that it was all over for me. I scrunched up my face waiting for the destruction to come.....but the thing is...it never did...

I saw dr. maniac got hit by a hard rock knocking him down to the ground. when he fell I saw the other villains all looking behind them.
the person who threw the rock was.......Henry..

I was both happy and nervous to see him. I really can't believe that he disobeyed me by coming. he's hurt and can barely walked on his own. this might not end well.

Henrys p.o.v

once I finally got to the orphanage, I saw the villains were already there. I couldn't see the action very well because of the villains blocking my way. I look over one of there shoulders and saw captain man on the floor in surrender. dr. maniac was pointing a gun at him. I got to act fast. I decided to pick up the heaviest, hardest thing I could find. I pick up a stone from the group and heaved it at the villain.

he fell to the ground but not unconscious. I was in rays sight now. he saw and have a combination of anger, worry and flabbergasted look on his face. "hen..um I mean...kid danger?!" ray yelled almost blowing my cover. after dr. maniac got up, he touched his head in pain.
"well well well, look who we have he...." he was about to but noticed I had a wrapped around my ankle that he know he caused. He looked up at my and smirk evily.

"you can't fight with a sprained ankle!" he asked. "I can atleast try!" and said ready to fight." ray looked at me in a proud way. but my eyes were on the villain. the people of the orphanage was huddling in fear in the back. he walked closer to me making me step back bumping into the timejerker and drex. they grabbed me by my shoulders so I couldn't run or get loose.
"kid danger!" ray yelled getting up but being pushed back down and tied up as he struggled for freedom. my eyes widen. when I wasn't paying attention, dr. maniac stepped on my sore ankle on purpose. I screamed in pain as I put my head down waiting for the pain to go away. they tried to shoot the gun at me but I ducked and got away from there tight grip.

they looked frustrated now. as they kept shooting, I kept getting away which was tiring because I tried to do it without putting any weight on my hurt ankle. I eventually tripped trying. I was on the ground in pain when the villains evily laughed pointing the gun at me. I closed my eyes and was ready to feel the pain. but then....

"kid danger!" I heard a little, sweet voice call out! "Alana!!" I surprisingly remembered her name.
"you leave kid danger alone you bully!" she sassed. the villains laughed at the little girl. I felt so bad. they did something that really wanted me to murder them...

they started to point the gun at the little girl. she shood there in shock. so was every else. I was on the floor then decided to take action.
"alena!! watch out!!" I yelled.
I pushed her to the side.
before you new it, he pulled the lever. BOOM!!
I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. "kid danger!!!" yelled ray. I fell to the floor thinking it was all over for me. alena was almost crying, ray looked terrified, the people in the orphanage was shocked and the villains were laughing.
"I guess its all over now!" laughed dr. maniac.
"I..its not o..over...untill..I...I say its over..." I struggled to say. "dang kid, do you know when to give up?" yelled the villain in annoyance. I'm not like them, I will never kill a fly. but to protect everyone, I'm gonna have to make it look frightening. as I was just about to black out, I reached over to the stun gun on the floor in pain. I held it up weakly.
they all put their hand up in defense thinking it was a real gun. "since its...its Christmas, I'm going...t..to let you slid!" I weakly yelled. right when Dr. maniac was going to respond, I shot the stun gun at him making him fall unconscious scaring the other criminals. I was getting weaker and weaker but I last shot the rest so they couldn't get away. soon, after it happened. the whole entire orphanage cheered. I felt so proud but I was literally getting weaker and weaker, then, all I saw was pure darkness.

later

I soon woke up in an unfamiliar room. I opened my eyes slowly and realized I had a wrapped on my stomach area. it hurt alot but then a felt a little, soft, warm hand touch mine. I slowly turned my head, still barely awake and it was alena.
"hey..al.." I started but got interrupted by alena giving me a huge hug! I was shocked but of course I hugged back. It was long but nice.

"thank you so much!" she yelled gracefully.
"for what?" I asked.
"for saving my life!" she yelled giving me another hug. I felt another hand touching my shoulder from behind. I look back and it was ray.

"shes right! your the real hero here, you defeated 5 villains all without my help and a sprained ankle. you saved the whole orphanage. you took a bullet for this little girl. the doctors said you'll be fine by the way. just need to heal. we all feel really bad. the entire city of swellview thanks you henry!"

ray said touching my shoulder again. after some silence, we heard the door burst open. it was my mom, dad and sister. "omg! so its true!" my sister yelled running over. "omg!! what happened??" my mom yelled.
"look mom, dad, piper...there's something I've been meaning to tell you..." I started and looked at ray, he knew what I was talking about, he nodded.
"look...I am..." I got interrupted by ray. "the new hero of swellview!" he said.
"wait..what?" my mom asked.
"I am....kid danger!!" I said as my family stood there in shock.
"no way!!!!" my sister seemed really happy about it.
"you mean you saved the orphanage last night? I saw it on the news" she said.
"yes I did!" I got up and put the gum in my mouth and transformed into kid danger making my families jaws drop opened. my mom covered her mouth with her hands. "are you mad?" I asked nervously to my parents. "were not Mad Henry....we couldn't be prouder!" she said giving me a big hug! my dad ruffled my hair and piper joined in.
"merry Christmas sweetheart!" my mom said still in the hug. "merry Christmas mom!" I said back.

°another Christmas come and gone, but I learned a thing or two. about how you never noticed how graceful you are untill you meet someone who's not.

hey guys! this is the end of this book! It was fun to write this book, I wanted this book to be a little bit meaningful. now that I'm finished with this book, I'm going to start working on "the finale" again, I just took a break to finish this one. what I am grateful for this Christmas Is all the support from you guys! I can't say it enough! I wish you guys a happy holidays!!
