chapter 7

rays p.o.v

after the little conversation I had with henry, it was awkward. we heard foot steps pounding toward us. we looked back for a quick second. when we noticed it was dr. maniac, we turned back around and put on our ski mask on as fast as we could.

"Rodger, tanner, where were you guys? your missing the meeting." he said panting.
"oh, we actually have to be on our way dude!" ray said in the same 'cool guy' accent as before. I nodded shyly.
"you sure?" dr. maniac questioned again.

"later!" ray said as we ran off to the man cave.

henrys p.o.v

once we got to the man cave we removed our mask and I sat down forcefully on the couch with a sigh. ray did the same but he sat down next to the computer table. it was silent for a bit.

"so....what do you think we should do about...." ray was interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. I pick it up and noticed the number was my mom. I asked ray if I could answer and he nodded.

I soon pick up the phone.
"hey mom, what's up?" I said softly.
"hey sweetie, your father and I are going out tonight so I was wondering if you could watch your little sister tonight?" she asked.
she asked it like a question but I new I had no choice.

"Eh...sure...I guess, what else do I have to do on a Saturday night." I said sarcastically.
my mom just chuckled and said there leaving in 10 minutes. I just responded then hung up.

"hey ray, can I be excused? I have to babysit my little sister."
I said.
"yea, go ahead kid." ray said swiveling his chair back around.
" thanks!" I said going toward the elevator. "wait....henry?" ray said quickly, making me stop. "whats up?" I responded. "so your sister was to young to remember about your abusive parents?" ray asked. I nodded and said
"only if I was!" I said sadly and walked over to the elevator. ray had a sad expression as well. once I got to junk'n'stuff, I waved good bye to gootch and lefted.

once I got to my home, I saw my mom and dad all dressed up and ready to go.
"just in time! were going to be back at around 11.00, no later. oh..and make sure piper goes to bed at 10. love you! bye!" my mom said as she moved my hair from in front of my forhead out of my face and kissed my forhead. my dad said bye to and ruffled my hair. I am so grateful for my family now! they make me so happy.

the house was so quiet, so I decided to see what piper was up to. I walked upstairs as the floor creaked. pipers door was open. I saw her on her bed listening to music on her phone. I knocked on her opened door. she looked up and took out her ear buds.
"what?" she said with straight face. "mom told me your bed time is 10..." I said awkwardly.
"and I should listen to her why?" she sassed. I put my hands up in defense. "I'm just letting you know..." I said sitting down on her bed.

"why are you still here?" she said annoyed. "um...just that...do you have any memory from when you were...little?"...

pipers p.o.v

"um...just that...do you have any memory from when you were...little?" Henry said witch confused me. why would Henry asked that.
"um...not really..why do you asked?" I asked quietly.
"nothing, I'm just...wondering." Henry responded. I was still really confused but just left it.

"ok...its 10, you should go to sleep." Henry said getting up.
fine...but I'm not going to bed because you told me to, I'm going to bed because I want to go to bed!" I sassed. Henry just nodded. "ok..goodnight then!" he said walking toward my door. "goodnight!" I said as henry slightly left my door open. I went under my covers and before I new it, I was a sleep.

in pipers dream

I was on the ground shaking, trembling with fear. I felt hot tears stream down my face. someone grabbed the collar of my shirt making my gag. I got a hard slapped across my face making my cry even more. I was on the ground helpless. I then heard a young boy scream "stop it!" I looked up, my vision was a little blurry but I could make out what is happening. the boy screamed "l..leave my sister alone!" he stuttered in fear. they let me go and walked over to the boy and started beating him worst then to me. I looked around and noticed that there was empty beer bottles everywhere. I predicted they were drunk. that young boy looked alot like Henry did from along time ago. he also called me sister so it made sence. soon, the fire alarm went off. only minutes later, I could not see anything. steam was filling the room....and my lungs. I started to get dizzy. right before I passed out, I felt arms carried me outside to the fresh air. I was soon put on a flat surface with firemen over me. I heard the ambulance again.
next clip that showed in my mind was me being in this type of medical home.
"eww!! look at your black eye!"
"half of your face is burnt! that's gross."
"whats wrong with your arms!? there covered in scars! so ugly!"
was all I heard I felt being pushed to the ground and laugher behind me. I heard my name and Henrys being called. I saw our current parents standing there.
all of this can't be true, it has to just be a dream....

I woke up with a scream noticing I'm awake. I was breathing really hard. I got scared with my door slamming open.
it was henry. "ah!! what's going on?" he yelled holding a pillow as a weapon. I noticed my eyes are moist. I wiped them quickly but I think Henry noticed.
"are you ok?" Henry asked sitting on my bed. I slightly noticed but henry gave me a look as like he didn't believe me. "you sure!?" he asked. but this time I shook my head and looked down. Henry scooted closer and put his arm around me in comfort. "what's wrong then?" Henry asked.
"it just that...I know why you asked me if I remember much from my childhood....well I remember...yet, I really wish I didn't." I said accidentally bursting into tears.
" I really am blessed!" I finally said...
