I watched her silently as she hurriedly packed her things in her bag, trying to get to her next class. Zach, the male next to me, was on his phone, playing some sort of game. I was tempted to mess with the electronic but held myself back. Roxan zipped up her back pack, flipping her blonde locks out of the way. Her glasses slid down her nose as she began to walk away. I watched her, quickly noticing that her book was still on the desk. I floated over, placing my ice cold palms on the math textbook, feeling the tape around the corners and the smooth cover. I couldn't believe she had forgotten her book!
As people stopped paying attention I picked it up off the desk and snuck it out of the room. I flew to the main building of the high school, near her locker. Roxan, you do not know how lucky you are to have me, I chuckled to myself. I set it about three yard from her locker veering to the left at an obtuse angle. I knew she'd sooner or later notice it was gone. I flew to her next class, art.
I stayed in the back as I listened to her art teacher drone on and on. Man, he could talk for hours on end, never getting tired of his voice. Finally, he shut up, leaving the teens to there work. I watched my Rixan with a smile, before my face heated with jealousy. Zachariah had his usual upbeat grin as he talked to her as they drew. I knew I was dead, so I had zero chance of going out with Roxan, but I was still pretty mad. Zachariah wasn't the cutest of boys but he sure as h*ll made Roxan's day. He made her laugh all the time... She even told him about her depressing life at home. She had only known him for a few months and was more open to him than people she had known for years!
I pouted as I walked over, sitting atop one of the cow skull still lifes. Roxan poked at a tooth of one of the skulls and shivered as it moved. I smiled at her. She had a thing about teeth, she hated it when they were loose. She didn't mind if they were completely out and she was holding it but when they were just loose, or being pulled out, it creeped her out! I slowly got down, kissing her pale cheek. Her gray blue eyes glanced at me as she felt my cold lips against her cheek. I never wanted to leave her.

At night, I stayed by her side as she slept. Gently, I took her hand, looking into her dreams. They were, of course, just as crazy as always until I noticed... I was in one of them. My brown, somewhat curly locks... My chestnut brown eyes... I was there. As was Landon, her old crush. He was messing with her as I walked passed, I asked her to move. She said something very stupid as well as smart allic, which must have ticked me off because I shoved her out of the way. I winced as I watched it all play out, before smiling softly as I turned to apologize only for her to stop me and say something along the lines of it being her fault and that she thought I had been someone else. Then we exchanged names.
"I'm Sean." I heard myself say my name. I felt myself blush as she thought to herself that I was cute. I couldn't hold back the excitement that filled my undead body. Her dream went crazy for a moment before I let go, letting it take its normal course with a grin. She thought I was cute! I was so f*cking happy that Satan wouldn't be able to sip the smile from my face.

This mortal had captured my heart and I'll be here to help her until she joins me in the afterlife.
