A/N: I don't own Hetalia! Thanks for reading this chapter. Warning for historical inaccuracy. Also, I have little to no idea how child services or child's rights are in Russia. Also, my knowledge of court rooms and how they are run is rather limited. (I watch tv when it comes to law and order SVU, that's about it...) Thanks for sticking with me so far! I love you guys! *Bows down dramatically* Please continue to review and let me know how I'm doing and your thoughts.

Chapter 14- *Battle in The Court Part 1 -Normal P.O.V.* With Ivan and Katyusha

"Ivan what are we going to do?" Katyusha rushed behind her little brother. They happened to be rushing down the hall to his office as Ivan began getting piles of his books and turning on his computer.

Ivan without pause continued to look through information regarding child care systems and locations. Whatever there was to make sure Anya was safe. "You, sister, are going to contact the other countries and let them know why I can't make it to the meetings. Also, call America..."

"America?!" Shock very apparent in her voice. Yes, she knew that America and Russia had been getting along, but they were still at each others throats every chance they got to disagree on something. So why?

"As for me, I'll be reviewing my laws regarding child services and putting together a portfolio for my case to take custody of Anya." He was confident he would get back Anya without a problem, but he didn't get this far in life without being prepared. Also, a wide variety of connections. Speaking of which... "You're wondering why Alfred?" Even using his human name caught Katyusha's attention. Usually only close friends or family among the nations used their human names. "Alfred, when it comes to personal matters such as this has always been useful and a good friend. When I was the USSR, he actually has helped quite a bit. He'll know what kind of help I'll need as a just in case situation when you call." Dismissing his sister with a wave of his hand shooing her. The siblings busied themselves and Katyusha made the call of course. Which, went along the lines of this.

"So... you're saying the big guy needs my help huh?" America's cocky voice apparent on the phone.

"Yes please Alfred. Child services came and took Anya! We need you." Ukraine laying it on thick and getting straight to the point.

"Child services?" Alfred thought about it and how he actually liked Anya around. It seemed really good for Ivan too. "Give the phone to Ivan real fast?"

Ukraine brightened at that and used the telephone machine to transfer the call. Ivan recently got a new phone system in case to get rid of any unwanted callers. And with that she went to the kitchen to fix them both up something to eat.

Ivan looked at the phone caller I.D. and saw: United States of America. Picking it up.

"Alfred."

"Hey Ivan. Anya was taken by child services? Why not just give them a little call of how you ARE the law and get her back."

Ivan smiled at the thought. "That would be too easy and easily pointable that I am using my resources. That's where you come in. The unexpected supporter of The Russian Federation. I want to be as fair as possible without involving my president." He knew he wouldn't be able to hide it for long from his boss, but he wanted it to be kept quiet as much as possible.

Alfred smirked on the other end of the line. "What do we saaaay Ivan?~"

Said man frowned at what the American was implying. Gritting his teeth. "Please?"

"Come on! I need a little more love than that.~"

A nerve crept up it's way on Ivans forehead. "Please Oh-Great-Superman, help me get Anya back!" Growling out the words in humiliation.

Alfred puffed out his chest in pride. "Got it! I will do what I can!" Snickering at the way he got Ivan to actually got him to call him Superman.

"I'm hanging up now."

"Love you too." Alfred continued his flirtatious joke.

Slamming the phone down with a satisfying crack, Ivan grabbed his hair frustration and rubbed his face. The American drove him crazy with his childish ways and how he seemed to not take anything seriously. Taking a deep breath, calming himself and got back to work. 'He better pull through or so help me!'

*A Week Later*

The necessary arrangements have been made and calls in order. Now there sat Ivan and Katyusha in the court room. The court room made up of wooden interior with white walls of the building. On the other side of the siblings, miss Vladlena with a lawyer prepared to do whatever it is necessary for the best of the child. That child being Anya. Anya was presently in another room with some paper and crayons to color, while waiting for whatever questions the judge might ask. The mean lady Vladlena was quite adamant about it, but once you got to know her she was okay. She was just majorly serious like Mr. Germany.

The gallery of long wooden seats behind the two parties was empty for this case was closed to the public. Only friends and family were allowed. Now back to Ivan who sat thinking. 'It's about time...' Impatient as he saw some figures through the hazed inside windows where you saw people in the hallways. 'And where the hell is that damned American when you need him?!'

"All rise!" An officer said as one of the figures walked into the court followed by the judge caught everyones attention. A kindly looking old man with old John Lennon looking spectacles, white thinned hair, and a small smile. A bit on the chubby side, but that could've been the robes judges usually wore.

"Sit down, sit down." The man said as he huffed into his seat. Motioning everyone with his hands to do as told. "Now we are here today to discuss ownership of a child. In other words adoption?" Looking through his files he carefully put all the necessary information up top.

Vladlena stood. "Yes, your Honor." 'And I plan on stopping whatever bad may come of this adoption.' She thought determined. She was honestly just doing her job and she did like kids. Which was why she did what she does to protect them. She looked at the man named Ivan Braginsky who also said, "Yes, your honor." He simply seemed too... Military... Too brutish to be a good father figure for the girl. He wasn't even married! A single father wanting to adopt was simply unheard of! That and the uncomfortable aura she sensed around him. More evidence of his foolishness that he didn't have an attorney and was representing himself. Cocky much? Her eye twitched in annoyance. She was ready for battle.

"Please be seated." Everyone did as told.

Ivan stared at the judge and smiled confidently. From the Judges background, Ivan knew he would be about common sense and was easy going. And the children he checked up on as well were all in happy loving families. It seemed the judge also had the power to sense when parents would actually be as loving and able to care for the kids as they say they are.

"Let's all get to know each other." The judge waved his arms in a carefree manner. "You!" He pointed towards Ivan. "Mr. Braginsky."

Ivan stood. "I am Ivan Braginsky and am here representing myself for the adoption of Anastasia."
