I carried the files into my boss' office. I was tired and it was just the half day. I put in on his table.

"You're phone's ringing like crazy. Either you see what's on or shut it!" Yeah my boss was a really angry man and yes I was a PA to this person. He is a mad man.

I checked my phone to see 5 missed calls from Steve. I sighed and dialed his number walking out of the office. I heard my boss say something under his breath but who cares?

"Hey Steve..." I said as I saw Steve as soon as I closed the door to the office.

"Hey Y/N! I called you but you didn't receive so I had to come here."

"Oh that's OK. I was just calling you back."

"Tony's giving a party and he's invited us to come. There's gonna be this dance and I want you to be there."

"S-steve..actually.." I felt this weird feeling as I was speaking to him. I'm doing this to him the 4th time this week.

"Look Steve. I know how things have been between us lately but I'm sorry baby I won't be able to make it tonight."

"What?! But Y/N you promised to be together just the other day."

"This is just getting harder for me each day. You know I need this job. Please understand Steve." I sighed.

"No Y/N you have to understand this time. Don't I love you enough to deserve this dance with you?"

"Steve.. That's not the point. You love me like no one can. And I love you and I really wanna be with you Steve."

"You're saying this out of pity Y/N!" His voice raised a bit.

"No! I really truly love you Steve. But this job is important for me. You know it.. And all of this is getting harder day by day.."

"So you're saying that we should break up?"

"No.. No Steve I'm not saying that. I promise you I'll sort this out. I promise you I'll be there tomorrow. At the tower. We'll spend the whole day together. Just how you want."

"Y/N.. Please.."

"Y/N.. What did I say about talks on relationships?" My boss opened the door and cut him out.

"I'm sorry sir."

"Steve..we will solve this later tonight. I promise." I turned to Steve.

"Yeah.. Whatever you have can wait until later instead of making chaos in my office Rogers." My boss said. How rude of him.

"There's no later. Never." Steve turned and left

"Steve! Steve listen to me. We don't have to do this..." I was going behind him when my boss called out and said me to bring him a coffee and get some papers signed.

I so wanted to throw that coffee at his face and stain his white shirt.

Why would Steve say that? He just broke up with me. My tears didn't stop flowing. How could he? But maybe he was right...
